Ouch dude, that's harsh.
I was actually walking home from the pub last night(I always go out for a few quiet drinks on Christmas Eve, but always go home when the pubs shut rather than go clubbing) when it started raining, and I just thought "NNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" fearing that it would melt the snow in the small hours of Christmas morning, after having had snow lying here since the night this thread was started! Luckily it was a passing shower and the rain stopped after about an hour, and it hasn't rained here since.

That's
just the kind of snow we usually get in the part of Scotland where I live. What I call Tesco Value Snow.
As an example, I remember one afternoon in late January 2007 when I happened to have the afternoon off uni. Heavy snow had been forecast, and at exactly 2PM the first flakes began to fall. So I started watching it as I do when I notice it snowing, and all I noticed was it stopping. It stopped snowing at 2:03PM, and didn't snow again that day. Pathetic. I remember being so underwhelmed, I didn't know whether to find it amusing or be disgusted. :P
