This actually not the way it works in Islam.

Everybody has free will, but on the other hand, God being all-knowing and transcending time, knows everything you have done, do and will do. And since everything is created by God, including you, then your thoughts and actions also stem from Him and his will.

This gives rise to an interesting theological problem, since how can you be bad, evil or even sin, if your actions are determined by god?

Muslims do believe that you are responsible for your own actions. While everything stems from God, your performance of thought and actions make you acquire them - they become yours, since you do them, and thus you can and will be held accountable for them.

for example, many years ago, this man had a number 1 song in the UK, his song sold more than any other song during the weeks he was number 1. does that mean he is good beause more people bought his song, rather than a real singer or songwriter?

i don't know from where u got that but if u even read what a wrote in all this topic u will
find that i said that we respect other....how many time should i repeat that.

the original or the first version of the quran still on the museum and u can find and
compare it with what we have now..
one of the thing inside the quran that god said that he will protect this book till the
judgment day from warping and changing so don't worry about this.

I can safely say, that I have read and will read more than a page. I do not expect you to write the history of a certain period or era. But when two people have read the same or different books, they can talk about them and together find and learn more than they can alone.

If you want empathy and to be understood, you yourself need to understand. I would rather learn arabic than kill or hurt a muslim. Can you say the same about danish and danes?

I agree 100% that the terrorists bombers have hijacked the word/relgion of Muslims this has greatly undermined the understanding of your religion to the eyes of the west.

Without appearing to be flippant, i'd rather take Science over Blind faith anyday.

Yes there was an SMS chain letter that encouraged people to meet on the City Hall square and burn the Qu'ran. The SMS was started by neo-nazis, who think that the actions of muslims these days would make people come and do that. Nothing happened, so your news was a lie. There was just that SMS being sent back and forth.

However since this conflict went global instead of local, the Danish Peoples Party have gained in the public opinion and neo-nazi sites and rightwing extremists are reporting an increase of up to 33% in forum members and traffic. Hate breeds hate. Muslims that are acting out their anger are not doing anyone any favours. Quite contrary, they are feeding support to those that hate them.

Hakkinenf1, I am disappointed in you. I helped you out of sticky situations here and helped you understand that your problems where not based on your faith or race, but because of other things. Now you have moved back into that position with "the haterd that the west have against Islam". Thats just a load of rubbish. There are a lot of people in the west that have no problems with Islam. But I guess it is just easier to hate than to see things as they are.

And as to the Qu'ran being used as toilet paper in Denmark... who feeds you these things? Who instills such hateful lies to you? Or are you making it up? I would surely like to see proof of your claims.

As to the war against terror, do you have any idea how many people think that it is wrong, and that we are violating our very ideals with this crap? Do you know of the organisation "not in our name"? Here in Denmark, the most xenophobic party still only has 15% of the popular vote. Keep up your hateful attitude and that will probably rise. Funny how thinking as a persecuted victim tends to be a self-fullfilling prophecy.

Good on you that you realize. I would say that this forum is a good representative of how people think in the west. Most of our lives revolves around totally different things. The majority of the west does not hate Islam. They are far to busy living the same life you want, having a job, having friends, persuing hobbies, raise families and kids. What you are talking about are the minority.

But I agree that it is a problem that the worlds only superpower has been hi-jacked by loonies and psychos. And yes, the radical christian right-wing movement do believe this:

@ Assad, when i wrote about the teaching of the Quran being distorted, i mean that the preachers today are teaching the young people the wrong things, not that the versions of the Quran have been changed.

@ Hakkinenf1, you say that what the Danish newspapers did was unacceptable.

do you think what the British muslims are doing in London is acceptable, threatening to have another terrorist attack on the UK/Europe?

is holding signs that say "Europe, your 9/11 is coming" acceptable to you? (look at the pictures LS posted on page 4).

is holding a sign thats says "Behead those who insult Islam" acceptable?

(what is the problem with the BBC? there is a lady holding a sign that says "BBC= British Blasphemic Crusaders. what did the BBC do?)

how can you claim that yours is a peaceful religion, when at the first sign of trouble, muslims threaten to kill and behead those who have a different view?

i agree that what the newspapers did was wrong, but isn't the threats of violence and terrorism a very over-the-top answer?
