Anything less than a C should be a fail IMO

I remember I had my H.E (yes Home Economics, had no choice as no-one wanted to do CDT) GCSE exam and I got a D so I always still accepted it as a fail although some people said it is still a pass.

Lol, you British have it easy. In Aus anything below a 45% is a fail, and Youd be pretty ashamed to say you got under 65%. You need at least a 75% for the unis to even have a look at you. And its not how many questions you got right. They rank you against everyone. So if you get 75% you are better than 75% of the state. For the record I got 87.45%

Dont say Brits have it easy. Scotland and England have different systems. In Scotland anything below 50% is a fail

And your exams are probably easier :)!

The thing with marking against everyone else is that it's not fair when you get to the 'real' world. How can an employer compare two students accurately from different years? They can't, but it doesn't matter to them what year you were in at school, so it's a bit silly. With our system, at least you can compare people of different ages (although admitedly the standards do become different over a period of say 10 years).

at uni anything under 40% is a fail, but really you want to be getting more than 60% if you want to tell anyone about it.

The laws are obviously still not strict enough. If I was to make the laws people who drink and drive would be nailed to lampposts by their scrotums or any other soft part of the genitals. I have absolutely no understanding for these kind of things and I lose all respect for people who do that.

Can't get it in Newcastle either. Infact, the local bottle shops don't even stock it. THAT's how crap it is.
