20/100 pass? Bollocks. When i was at school under 50% was an instant fail.

I'm starting my GCSE course in September. SHEEPY am I correct in thinking that you did an alternate curriculum course? They offer that at my school, the course consists of taking a couple of GCSEs and some GNVQs, you also do work experience one day a week.

Yup, you can get bugger all and pass your GCSE's. A-Levels are a bit better - you need about 35% or something, but still low.

GCSEs currently require students to get 20% or higher to pass at grade 'G', with a 'C' grade set at 60%.

for me, going down to G is the problem.

E should be the absolute minimum IMO

Sheepy, you have both a full and a short course GCSE in English?

Is taht allowed, and doesnt the full one take priority?

i think D should be the minimum, anything lower and fail. but i guess we wont get that in this day because people arent allowed to fail are they? only allowed limited success ;-)

The GCSE system sounds piss easy :/ Okay SQA standard grades (i think there the scottish equalivant to GCSEs :s) aren't much better but at least the pass marks and levels were a bit more realistic.

@Mini
Well done :) Learn't my lesson to when doing my first exams that I should have done more revision ;)

Are AS the equalivant for SQA highers ?? Why can't we have one system would make things a hell of a lot easier.

Maths C (I)
Science CC (H)
ICT C (F)
Resistant Materials C (F)
Electronics C (F)
French D (F)

H = higher
I = Intermediate
F = Foundation

Not the best, but im happy and its good enough for college. :)

well done everyone!!

I can't stand those over-dramatic girls who jump and cry and scream and hug each other when they open their results.

us lads just go "oi, knobhead, I got ...., what did you get?"
