I could say exacly the same thing about Indie music I've got no idea what the Generes of rock music is, as to me, cause I don't listen to rock, it all sounds the same, you will say exacly the same about dance music (Wouldn't blame ya :P) basically House music for starters uses instruments instead of bad midi :P (or whistles :|)

Few Examples of House music would be Junior Jack, ATFC, Lee Cabrera

I was working with a drum'n'bass producer the other day who uses samples of real instruments triggered by MIDI, or midi-representations of real instruments. His electric piano MIDI sound was identical to the real instrument. I even preferred the MIDI because it was like a really good version of the real instrument.

I'll probably check out those house music artists just to see if it's any good....
