look at this R25 with Alonso figure:

[cgi.ebay.co.uk]

it's just a standard R25 with driver figure removed, converted to tobacco, with the figure from the Minichamps Raikkonen 1st Win model repainted and the helmet from the original car transplanted onto the figure.

looks quite good though.

an Aryton Senna figure:

[cgi.ebay.co.uk]

there are loads of items on ebay listed as Aryton, instead of Ayrton.

looks ok, but his face/head is slightly neanderthal-esque.

If it's not listed under Ayrton Senna it's not worth buying as the seller's a dumbass ;)

Muks, if you think that is bad then try going to Madame Tussaud's in London. Senna looks nothing like him

The Michael Schumacher ones i have seen bare more resemblence to Bruce Forsythe ;-) The Damon Hill ones dont look much like him either

Wonder if its a copyright thing?

i doubt it, i'm sure items like that are approved by the respective drivers, it's just a lack of attention when making them i think.

can you really have a copyright on your face? i can understand if you don't want people to use your name... but your face? c'mon..

M. Schumacher has a copyright on the words "tbh" (can't write the actual words cos i'd be in breach of copyright, but you knows what the abbreviation stands for).

and i'm sure you can copyright your face, because companies could use any famous persons face to advertise their products, so they have to protect themselves from being abused in that way.

well an artists impression is one thing but a photograph is another. i know lotsa celebrities have sued certain companies over products using their picture. but an artists impression of a persons face is never 100% going to look like the exact thing so i wonder how theyd go about doing that.
