Just a suggestion, you could always enter under a pretend name, i used a fake name and nationality for a while, personally it wasn't quite the same, but still possible, and i'm sure plenty of teams would be willing to take you on if you asked, there are slots free right now if you want one

Just a suggestion, you could always enter under a pretend name, i used a fake name and nationality for a while, personally it wasn't quite the same, but still possible, and i'm sure plenty of teams would be willing to take you on if you asked, there are slots free right now if you want one

Good idea! I'd keep the rest of my details the same, and use my personal logo on my helmet* (and maybe on the car, if possible**)
Actually that would be good for next season to try it out, as I have more free time from the end of June^.
*I need to redo my helmet

Good idea! I'd keep the rest of my details the same, and use my personal logo on my helmet* (and maybe on the car, if possible**)

These comments aren't negative; it's just that you continued to ask for people to use your livery when you were told that teams tend to stick to their own style and sponsorship.
I'm sorry if you find our comments 'negative', but constantly going on about your livery did get quite annoying. I recall we broke the news in the kindest way possible, but you kept plugging it until we had to be firm.
I still maintain that you should be active as a driver/tester in the series to have a team on the list, because the other two guys other than yourself that aren't in the series and have teams on the list have, well, just buggered off.

+1. Can I just say that I don't appreciate being quoted and then being accused of being negative towards somebody. I also don't appreciate you threatening to report people that you think are being negative, which I assume, by the mere fact you quoted me, you mean me. The truth of the matter is that you haven't been active since you didn't get your own way and now don't like it that people have been calling for your team to be removed from the list.

If you are worried about using your own surname, then use a pseudonym. I know they have been used by others in the past, in fact, still are
On another note. Congratulations to my two drivers in the Brazilian GP. A fantastic 1-2 result for us, taking pole and fastest lap bonus points too. Awesome show! And little old moi taking the win in Friday practice as well

And like i said a few pages ago, just like Incident 2k9, i think anyone on the reserve team list should have to be either in a test seat or race seat. If that driver happens to lose their drive, well....perhaps they would then be required to secure a seat somewhere for the next season, to keep themselves on this list

However, since it's not on the regulations currently, no one can judge Alex's inactivity because nobody told him that he should get involved to keep his team on the list. My view is that this should be added as an extension to the "Activity" section of the regulations from Season 8 onwards. Another topic to discuss in the other thread.

Whilst I agree that the rules do not state prospective owners should be active I would have thought a certain amount of common sense and courtesy could, and probably should be applied as well. Namely, if you want to be in the series, you have to show interest.
With the greatest respects to the GPGSL Governing Body could I please suggest that this is something that is put at the top of their agend next time they meet. The simple reason for this is that there is an active and interested prospective team owner below Alexf1man on the list and if it were me I would feel very aggreived at somebody who isn't active being offered a slot in the series before I was.

Regarding the above discussion, I think that the activity rules can only be brought into play when actually participating in the league. The gentleman concerned is welcome to remain on the GPGSL team's waiting list, and when he takes possession of a team, the activity rules would then commence.
However, as stated, some common courtesy could be shown, by taking an interest in the series, and that is something that the GPGSL has no desire at this point in time to enforce.
The next round of GPGSL talks will be scheduled at the close of S7, and as I'm sure you all know, we have much to discuss and I suspect that we will be making some changes to be implemented for S8. Your submissions to the existing GPGSL rule thread have been duly noted and we will discuss the options available to us in due course.
The GPGSL is I believe, looking for a new member to take over the publication of the league championship tables, your league needs you. Step up if you would like to be a part of the GPGSL and help out with some of the work that must be done to bring all of you what you have come to expect from the GPGSL.

Alpha Motorsports will not be taking its option to fill the Season 8 vacancy. Team boss Ed Greenhalgh said that, "Unfortunately I don't have to time to run or set up a team at the moment, so I will continue driving." The team will instead return to the end of the queue to allow for a potential future re-entry to the series.
