GPGSL S7 [SEASON COMPLETED!!!] Rule Changes Announced For S8.

Posted by GPGSL
The 100th race has been run and won. A fantastic race to watch, hope that translates to the screenshots ;) There were two retirements, one due to an accident and one to mechanical failure.

Maybe a while before I get the screenies sorted and also gp4 crashed on exit from the circuit. Never fear! I always set gpxpatch to text log, so I can sort the final positions and fastest laps. I used to have a programme that sorts out all the data from a text log, does anyone know where I can download it from?

EDIT: Not to worry I've found it on an old hard drive :)

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian

NO NO NO! A very quiet race would have been enough!! Like the polesitter keeping the lead and winning! And Tommi from 11th to 2nd ;) ;) ;)

My GPGSL Career
GPGSL 100th Race - French Grand Prix, Paul Ricard.

Race Day.

Welcome to Paul Ricard race fans. Today is the 100th race of the GrandPrixGames SuperLeague. Quite an achievement I must admit, lets hope for another 100!

The cars have just lined up, waiting for the old fashioned green light that they use here in France.

An ickle bitty yellow car brings up the rear.

Nick Worseling on pole for Snake Motorsports.

And they are off and away.

Aleksander looks to pass Worseling around the outside of the first corner.

Aleksander takes the lead.

Onto the Mistral Straight and Aleksander leads from Worseling in 2nd, Rodriguez 3rd, Pedersen 4th, Greidanus 5th.

Jalving pulls out to take Hinz.

But can't get the move made.

End of the first lap, Pedersen attempts to take Rodriguez and Johnson has already passed Maverick.

Aleksander sets the fastest lap.

Standings after lap 1.

Aleksander sets another fastest lap as Hinz, having lost 8th to Jalving, now loses 9th to Greenhalgh.

Rodriguez comes under pressure from Greidanus.

Pedersen looks like he's closing on Worseling.

Turning into the last corner and Karjalainen is under threat from Warrington.

Warrington takes 12th and Vilela hopes to take advantage too.

Rodriguez runs wide at Signes.

Johnson now up to 4th after passing Greidanus and Rodriguez's off.

Maverick takes another position from Greidanus.

Elleker down in 20th.

Thanks to everyone who has run or participated in the GPGSL.

Greenhalgh attempts to take 7th from Jalving.

Hunsley in 18th.

Warrington attacks Hinz for 10th.

Jalving retakes 7th from Greenhalgh.

Kittleson in 21st pressures Somogyi.

Johnson puts a wheel in the gravel and is instantly under attack from Maverick.

45 laps to go, here's the standings.

Stay tuned folks, part two coming soon.

GPGSL 100th Race - French Grand Prix, Paul Ricard.

Race Day - Part Two.

Pedersen takes fastest lap.

Jalving now has another Aston Martin trying to pass.

Karjalainen now in 17th having slipped further down the field.

Jalving tries to retake 8th from Warrington.

Warrington comes back at Jalving.

Vilela being chased by Horváth and Hunsley.

Warrington back in 8th.

The AMR driver and season 2 champion has now made up 12 places.

Its getting busy further down the field.

Horváth passes Vilela.

Then gets aggressive in squeezing Vilela as he fights back.

Elleker keeps a watching brief as Karjainen passes Hunsley and Vilela manages to keep Horváth at bay.

Karjalainen also takes Horváth.

Horváth fights back as Elleker attampts to pass Hunsley.

Back up front, Aleksander 1st, Pedersen 2nd.

40 laps to go.

Elleker gazes at the pretty picture.

Kittleson runs wide.

Muller also goes for a detour.

Seasons 3 champion Philip Oakley and Season 4 Champion Matt Houston.

Action in the pitlane.

35 laps to go.

Warrington spoils all his hard work!

Another lap and another off for Warrington!

Cartwright now up to 3rd.

Don't go away we will be right back.

GPGSL 100th Race - French Grand Prix, Paul Ricard.

Race Day - Part Three.

Greenhalgh pits.

Cartwright also stops for new tyres.

Greenhalgh has to wait as Cartwright drives to his crew.

Greenhalgh has lost a position to Greidanus due to that delay.

Karjalainen now down in 21st. The GPGTV.org/Farked cameras missed the reason why.

Greenhalgh sets fastest lap with his new tyres and is soon back past Greidanus.

30 laps to go.

A replay shows that Somogyi was 18th but slipped down to 22nd with this off.

Greenhalgh takes another fastest lap.

Warrington outbrakes himself!

Worseling back in 3rd.

Maverick takes 4th from Johnson.

Muller copies his team mate and goes off exploring the sand.

Hunsley tries to overtake Rodriguez for 17th.

Oops maybe trying too hard.

Just under half way to go.

Kittleson in 19th.

The two Scala's battle it out.

But looks can be deceiving, Somogyi is unlapping himself from Muller.

Jalving looks to be struggling with understeer.

He's off!

These laps are going by really quickly as Aleksander pulls away from Worseling, who seems to have passed Pedersen without us seeing it.

20 laps to go.

Greenhalgh goes for 5th.

But fails to take the place from Johnson.

Cartwright is the next victim of the gravel.

Maverick now going for 3rd, but fails.

Aleksander in the pits.

Worseling takes the lead of the race.

Johnson in 3rd.

Oh we are off for another commercial brainwash.

A crap end to a crap race.

GPGSL 100th Race - French Grand Prix, Paul Ricard.

Race Day - Part Four.

Somogyi attacking Jalving, but he is a lap down so no danger to the Dutchman.

Sheppard blots his copy book.

15 laps to go and we are part way through the 2nd round of pitstops.

Johnson now leads as Worseling and Pedersen pit.

Maverick with his special 100 helmet in 4th.

Oh no he's run wide at turn 1.

Greenhalgh nips by into 4th.

Into the path of the leader.

Johnson takes fastest lap again.

Can Greenhalgh catch Worseling?

Doesn't look that way.

Team Shadow sitting pretty in this race, 1st and 7th.

Horváth hits the sand trap at speed.

The TNR driver becomes our second retirement. (Looking at the logfile, I noticed that Jack Hunsley retired on lap 28. Somehow I totally missed this during the race.)

5 laps to go.

Worseling and his new helmet.

Greenhalgh being held up by Muller and with Pedersen catching.

Greenhalgh laps Muller, but Pedersen isn't far away.

Hinz slows with transmission failure.

Aleksander still leads with 2 laps to go.

Worseling is catching the leader very slightly, but its not enough to win the race.

Last lap.

Marko Aleksander of Team Shadow Subaru wins the 100th GPGSL race here at Paul Ricard.

Nick Worseling 2nd

Ed Greenhalgh 3rd.
