GPGSL S7 [SEASON COMPLETED!!!] Rule Changes Announced For S8.

Posted by GPGSL
We have switched to the 2008 shape from Maikel. New helmets for next season have to be painted on this shape! Old helmets have already been transformed to the 2008 spec.

If anyone's desperate for a helmet, drop me a PM :)

What an awesome race! Huge congrats to Ruben who drove like mad-man through the field and then allowed us to throw roll the dice with the strategy. Great job!

Superb race by Marko too in an underpowered car this weekend to prove Team Shadow are the next best team :)

Top race for us and great to hear that Ruben WILL be staying at Team Shadow next season!

Terrible race..

You are listed as a retirement because of 'Engine', so I guess I should not try to kill you, but take out my anger on someone from Ford ;-)

We'll see what we can do at Silverstone.

We have now officially swapped over to Maikel's Arai Gp-5 2008 shape. I converted all the helmets at the start of the season.

Well, that was a total stinker of a weekend for me. I dunno what the problem was!! Just couldn't make the Snake work for me in the wet. Great to see my team mate run well though, just totally frustrating to see how poor a GP i had
Just got to hope now, that my final race drive in this stage of my GPGSL career, brings some joy!

I am heading to Munich for a session or two at the beer halls, before heading to Silverstone. Who's with me????!!!!!!!! (B)(B)(B)

On my way! Some beers will flush down my own disappointment over this weekend, too! (B)(B)(B)

Me too, a frustrating home GP. Some beers will help to forget it (B)(B)(B)

Good to have both cars in the points.

Will Buller won from last on the grid in the GP3 race at Silverstone, then Ruben does it days later. :p
Midfield again... Really disappointed with this result. I'm going to eat pretzels and watch McGyver re-runs in German.

Disappointing, could have been a better result.

Wow. Didn't expect that at all, i have to say im still a little bit stunned after that result. But what can i say, the team got it absolutely right for me, pitting me at the right times, and i managed to keep it all together. Pity my team-mate couldn't join me in the points, but i'm sure he'll finish the season with a high before he heads to Demon :).

Now off to join him at the beer halls for a few!! (B) (B) (B)

So borrowing Connor's list for a moment, we're up to the last race and a few of the teams are still keeping us guessing. Minardi and Snake don't have anyone officially confirmed (I don't think, anyway) and MPR only have Jack Hunsley officially confirmed (but we might guess who will race for them.)

1. Aston Martin Racing
#1 Ed Greenhalgh
#2 John Maverick
TD1 #24 Stuart Ingers
TD2 #25 Daniel Thomas

2. Team Shadow Mercedes
#3 Ruben Greidanus
#4 Tobias Kederer
TD1 #26 Tom Pellatt?
TD2 #27 Josh Copeman

3. Martini Paddock Racing
#5
#6
TD1 #28 Jack Hunsley
TD2 #29 Andrei Sevastian?

4. True North Racing
#7 Norbert Horvath
#8 Owen Edwards
TD1 #30 Dan Mills?
TD2 #31

5. Christel VXR
#9 Jack Elleker
#10 Michael Pedersen
TD1 #32 Gary Spencer
TD2 #33 Connor Steer

6. Scuderia Minardi
#11
#12
TD1 #34 Rico Van Smirren?
TD2 #35

7. ART
#14 Carlos Rodríguez
#15 Rodrigo Vilela
TD1 #36 Dominic Brunner
TD2 #37 Stefan Van Renselaar

8. Snake Motorsports
#16
#17
TD1 #38
TD2 #39 Mal Stoddart?

9. Southern Cross Racing
#18 Ross Cartwright
#19 Joseph Gilson
TD1 #40
TD2 #41 Maikel De Boer?

10. MAC Racing
#20 Christopher Hinz
#21 Adam Davies
TD1 #42 Gianluigi Silvestre
TD2 #43 Nathan McGregor

11. Demon Racing
#22 Jake Legge
#23 Zsigmond Somogyi
TD1 #44 Glen Sheppard
TD2 #45 Sebastian Nell

Plus, I believe that Ruben and Ed are the only drivers this year to have won more than one race.

I'm not a certain test driver for Team Shadow, I'd rather get someone from outside of the team if anyone's interested ;-)

I also think it's quite fitting that the two most winningest drivers this season will be battling it out in the top two teams for the championship next season

bad race for us. Now i have to watch the next race with potential heart attacks all the time. We need sixth ! :O

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"If in doubt, Flat out."
I'm thinking about running an end of season non-championship race with some of the ideas that have been put forward for next season. I want to do it with a bit of fun involved too :)

The race will be a one stop 40 minute affair with one lap qualy and 15% chance of rain. Here's the fun bit, each team owner will take it in turns to choose their drivers, any drivers, test or race, starting with the team that finishes in 11th place followed by the 10th team and onwards. One driver will be chosen at a time, like you do when picking footie teams at school ;)

No doubt Ed Greenhalgh will be driving this race for ScalaGP ;)

I need suggestions for the track, one which hasn't been used this season preferably.
