GPGSL S7 [SEASON COMPLETED!!!] Rule Changes Announced For S8.

Posted by GPGSL
Finally the first 3rd place in my career ;), but joking aside, I'm really happy about it, the car was again great to drive today, thanks to the team therefore.

To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. On paper, everything looked good but I just couldn't find that last little bit.

Though in some ways it's nice to be disappointed with 8th, because I've not had a bad season.

Free practice wasn't brilliant...lets hope for a relatively good showing in qualifying and then some rain in the race. Hopefully that'll mix things up a bit.

I'm well chuffed to be part of TSS/TSM! I will have to smile sweetly though and ask if someone can mock me a helmet up please.
Quite disappointed with 11th, was hoping for a good haul of points here. Definitely losing my grip on a top 3 finish now! :(

I'll give it a go if you have any particular colours/design or anything you want on it

Given I used a boost, that result is disappointing

I have a rather fetching pink helmet of shame you can use ;)

That's a pleasant result indeed! :D

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
I can do better than that... I love this track! Made a couple of mistakes in the last sector and compromised my hotlap. Anyway the qualifying pace looks promising and I'm sure the guys can extract the maximum from the car. Good luck!

Going to a pool party tonight. Everyone's invited!

Just couldn't get the car to respond how I wanted with various set up changes. Seems it has a very small operating window where there is not much room for manouver.

yeah that'd be great if you would thanks. I only two equests for a helmet. Perhaps something with the union jack on and definitely the norwich city logo. Many thanks.

Qualifying

Hello again race fans. You join us again here at Interlagos for the qualifying session for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Aston Martin Racing took the spoils yesterday in the Free Practice and will be hoping for a repeat performance. However, there are another 10 teams hoping otherwise, especially Team Shadow, whose drivers lie 2nd and 4th in the WDC.

On with the action as Karjalainen is the first out of the pits.

And you guessed it! He's on pole!

Daniel Thomas soons beats the Fin's time.

Ed Greenhalgh beats both of them by a good margin, will it be enough to last the whole session as Ingers did yesterday?

Ben Johnson puts his Minardi in to 3rd spot.

He's soon beaten to 3rd by Elleker in his VXR.

Norbert Horváth gets really close to Greenhalgh time to grab 2nd.

Despite rumours about his future at Team Shadow, Ruben Greidanus doesn't let it phase him and takes 3rd.

Charrel Jalving puts his MPR through it's paces and takes pole.

Gianluigi Silvestre takes 5th in his ScalaGP.

Marko Aleksander is an Interlagos expert and it shows as he takes pole by nearly 2 tenths from Greenhalgh.

But John Maverick immediately nicks pole by a tenth.

AMR's John Warrington takes 3rd.

Brazilian Rodrigo Vilela sends the Interlagos crowd wild as he narrowly takes pole by 3 thousandths of a second.

First round of runs done lets look at the standings.

Karjalainen is already over a tenth down in the first sector.

Greenhalgh is just 2 hundreths down though.

At the 2nd intermediate Karjalainen is over half a second off the pace.

Greenhalgh has also slipped further behind and is gaining on Karjalainen, looks like he will be held up.

Far from being held up, Greenhalgh gets a massive slip stream from the Snake to take pole!.

1 minute 12 dead means 15th for Karjalainen.

Johnson moves up one place to 18th.

Thomas finds some more time to move up to 12th.

Kittleson still struggling near the back, shuffles up two places to 18th.

Somogyi manages drag his Scala to 12th position.

Greidanus puts his Shadow into the top 10.

Edwards moves up one spot to 17th.

2nd runs complete.

Hunsley still rooted to the back of the grid.

Elleker makes a big improvement from21st to 14th.

Greidanus moves up one more place.

Kittleson puts his Minardi firmly in the midfield, he's got to be happier than he was.

Jalving is now into 4th, making it a MPR 3, 4.

3rd runs done.

Hunsley keeps improving his time but he's still stuck at the back.

Johnson with a massive jump from 21st to 9th.

Warrington makes a slight improvement but stays 6th.

Same goes for Aleksander in 5th.

And Sheppard in 10th.

Somogyi still chipping away, moves up to 11th.

Pedersen takes 9th.

Silvestre up two places to 17th.

Stay tuned for the official qualifying results.

Not looking too brilliant for SCR.

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld

Okay so that didn't go brilliantly. But it wasn't an absolute disaster either. Hopefully Jack can get the point for most places gained and Michael can pick up some points.
