had a CTD with 18 laps to go in a crazy race. Will need 1 or 2 days to get back my motivation for a rerun.

Guess what, I've run six races before and everytime I've made midrace saves. This was the first time I didn't and also the first time it crashed. Murphy strikes again...

Suzuka - The Race - Part1

Hello and welcome everybody to the penultimate round of the 2005 Formula 1 Season here at Suzuka. The Championship battle is still open, with Felipe Massa currently leading by 7 points in front of Jacques Villeneuve. Schumacher, Alonso and Vettel are too still in the fight, and especially the first two of them have a good chance to close the gap today as they start from the first row, with Massa only in 12 place.

At the moment we have heave rain out there, and the predictions all say that it will stay like this the whole race. The drivers are just coming back from the formation lap and are lining up now, so lets go straight to the track for the race.

We're onboard with polesetter Michael Schumacher as the red lights go on

And it's go go go!

Schumacher with a great start keeps the lead

At the back da Matta tries to get some places on the inside

Indeed a fantastic start for him, he's up 5 places

As we can see Doornbos has passed Lotterer and is now behind Alonso in third

he has a first look

Kubica with a bad start, he has dropped 3 positions

The first lap isn't completed yet, and Schumacher already has a gap of 2 seconds

Vettel fighting for 5th with Button, and it seems that Doornbos has passed Alonso

He has! Here we see a replay of the overtaking manoeuvre

Vettel looses many places here, and in the back Villeneuve gets pushed off the track

And that's Raikkonen going off in the first corner! He can continue, but drops back to last

Vettel is off! This drops him behind Raikkonen

Button passes Lotterer on the way to 130R

Massa does the same with Villeneuve a few seconds later

Now Davidson has run wide! The track is really slippery

Lets have a look at the standings

That's Rosberg off the track at turn 9!

Zonta goes off aswell! Both can continue, they're now in 20th and 21st position

Button goes out of the slipstream and passes Alonso

And Barrichello overtakes Lotterer

Montagny has lost it on the way to Casio triangle!

Both Toyotas fighting through the field

It looks like Doornbos can close the gap to Schumacher

Sato attacks Lotterer for 6th

and gets past

One lap later his teammate Fisichella tries too

and Lotterer loses another place

Another driver losing the control of his car at Casio triangle, now it's Glock

He drops back to 19th

Alonso struggling in this wet conditions, Barrichello is now right behind him, but i doubt that he sees much there

Missed by the cameras Coulthard also has passed Lotterer

And that doesn't look good for da Matta, a gearbox failure forces him to retire

Both BARs have closed the gap to Alonso and Barrichello

Watching Lotterer and Massa as Vettel sets a new fastest lap

The other Jordan too under pressure

Barrichello pulls out to pass Alonso

As does Massa to pass Lotterer. Only Massa succeeds

Unseen by the cameras Rosberg has passed Raikkonen

Much happening right now, lets look at the standings again

Zonta is the first to pit, but this one wasn't planned, he has electrical problems

Doornbos attacks Schumacher for the lead, but the German can keep him behind

Villeneuve has passed Lotterer, and both RedBulls want too

Kubica takes the inside, and it looks like Webber has lost the control of his car!

He has!

And Villeneuve too! Kubica is the big winner in this situation, he gains 3 positions

Doornbos attacks Schumacher again!

And he gets in the lead of the race!

Fisichella gets past his teammate, up into 6th place

Schumacher fights back in the Spoon!

Now Button attacks his teammate for 2nd

He passes him in 130R

A german duel here, Ralf Schumacher passes Lotterer

Rosberg passes Davidson at the same place

Sato is off at turn 1! He continues in 16th place

Villeneuve has run wide

as consequence Vettel is now right behind him

He gets out of the slipstream on the way to 130R

and gets past the Williams driver

The gap between the first three is still small

Ralf Schumacher already up in 10th place

Barrichello tries to pass Alonso, but the Ferrari has the higher speed

and Barrichello brakes too late and bumps into Alonso's rear!

This pushes the Ferrari off the track. Barrichello now in 4th, Alonso in last place

Doornbos re-overtakes his teammate

Alonso is off the track again!

And this is the end of his race

We're now in lap13, and these are the current standings

Rosberg comes in for his first stop, seems that he's on a 3 stop strategy

Raikkonen is now behind his teammate, although he has spun off in the first laps

Now Button is back in 2nd place

Barrichello in 4th, with 4 cars very close behind him

And it's time for a commercial break now. Stay tuned for part2!

Looking promsing.
I am surprise by the pace of my boys Jenson and Robert, lets see if we pull a win here!!
Suzuka - The Race - Part2

We're back with Doornbos coming in the pits

Fisichella has passed Barrichello in 130R

And someone bumps into Barrichello's rear!

As a result Fisichella gets pushed and runs wide!

It was Coulthard who has caused this troubel! He too has run wide

Coulthard is now in 7th, Fisichella in 8th

Raikkonen is off again!

Vettel is in for his first stop, and we can see the Sauber crew preparing for a stop

Doornbos is now in 7th after his stop

Button comes in

Kubica with an incredible race so far, he has gained 12 positions

Button gets out in front of his teammate in 6th place

Missed by the cameras Rosberg has passed Montagny

Schumacher has quite a gap to 2nd

Sato passes Glock for 12th place

Davidson is off the track! He has a puncture and is now stuck in the gravel. That's the end of his race

With the 3 stoppers having done their stops, lets take a look at the standings

Button pulls out and passes Coulthard

Webber goes off!

And into the wall! He had throttle problems and couldn't keep the car on track anymore

Massa in 2nd, but Kubica is closing the gap

Onboard with Doornbos as he attacks Coulthard

And Coulthard runs wide in 130R!

He catches his car just in front of the wall

and can continue in 8th place

Glock loses his car again, just at the same place as at the first time

But this time he crashes into the wall

Luckily it was just in front of the pits, so that he can come in immediately

Kubica attacks Massa on the outside, on the way to Spoon

And he gets 2nd place

Sato and Rosberg side by side, and Rosberg gets up in 11th

And Sato pits just a few seconds later

Button pulls out to pass Barrichello

But the Renault engine has more power so that Barrichello can stay ahead

Fisichella comes in the pits now

Barrichello and Button go out of the hairpin side by side

And Button has the better traction and gets past

Barrichello now in the pits for his first stop

Rosberg overtakes Lotterer in 130R

Kubica and Massa now both in the pits

Ralf Schumacher comes in, too

Massa gets out in 5th in front of Rosberg, but where is Kubica?

He's only in 10th place, a very bad stop of the RedBull crew

Vettel is in again, he has throttle problems

Ralf Schumacher now in 13th after his stop

And Rosberg passes Massa

Lotterer and Montagny now in the pits

As is Villeneuve

and Raikkonen

Glock is in, and Schumacher!

He keeps the lead

Coulthard comes in for his stop

Rosberg and Massa are still fighting as Kubica sets a new fastest lap

Coulthard gets out in 10th, and in the back Zonta comes in

Doornbos now in the pits for his 2nd stop

He rejoins in 4th in front of Barrichello

Rosberg also in for his 2nd stop

Button too

Kubica brakes too late and bumps into Barrichello, who bumps into Doornbos

They all stay on the track, but Doornbos loses one position

Button gets out in 2nd

Vettel with a new fastest lap, it seems that the rain ceases a bit

Doornbos is struggling with his fresh tyres, he has lost another two positions and is in 7th now

Ralf Schumacher now in 7th

Barrichello only in 8th, missed by the cameras he must have made a mistake

Schumacher now with the fastest lap

Massa is closing the gap to Button

Montagny now with the fastest lap

Button to seems to have made a mistake, Massa has passed him and Kubica is right behind him now

Vettel has passed Sato for 12th

Fisichella is currently in 5th place

The standings, and as we can see Schumacher has a comfortable lead

Schumacher tries to pass Doornbos

But he fails

And it's time for a final break, we'll be back soon!

His brother comes in for his second stop

Gets out as Vettel sets the fastest lap

There he is

Montagny is in for his last stop, too

Massa rejoins in 8th

Somehow Fisichella is in 3rd now, but he still has to stop

Villeneuve was in the pits, too

Here we have a replay of what happened: Kubica was too late on the brakes again, and again a Sauber was the victim, this time it was Button

He has run wide

and dropped back to 10th

A really bad race for Villeneuve, he's now about to be lapped by his teammate

Barrichello comes in for his final stop

Rosberg currently in 5th place

Sato is 10th with Zonta close behind him

Fisichella pits

And rejoins in 8th

Coulthard, who only stopped once, is really struggling with his tyres now

He spins!

And drops back to 7th

Fisichella now in 4th, Ralf Schumacher in 5th

Lotterer and Sato still fighting, now for 11th

Villeneuve misses the braking point and bumps in Sato, who bumps in Lotterer

Lotterer runs wide a bit, and Sato gets past. Villeneuve wants to profit, too, and tries on the outside

But he has no grip there and runs wide, which allows Vettel to pass him

2 laps to go, and Rosberg and Ralf Schumacher are fighting for 5th

The last lap for Michael Schumacher

Rosberg pulls out of the slipstream

and gets 5th place

Vettel passes Lotterer for 12th

Rosberg in 9th, what has happened?

Here is the replay: He has run wide in Casio triangle just after having passed Ralf Schumacher

And Michael Schumacher wins the Japanese Grand Prix!

Montagny attacks Coulthard for 6th place in the last lap

Side by side

But the Renault engine has more power and Coulthard can stay in front. But maybe into the Casio triangle?

Massa finishes second

Kubica in 3rd

As we can see Coulthard has managed keep Montagny behind

Barrichello and Lotterer fighting for p14

And Lotterer stays ahead

Barrichello tries again, but he can't get him before crossing the line

And that was it. Congratulations to the Rainmaster Michael Schumacher, who absolutely dominated this race!

So the title will be decided at the last race, very interesting...

Also I'm not going to bother posting the available drivers as I didn't receive any new bids, however I believe Toyota are the final team that are still without a third driver for 2006.

And thanks again Kedy, do we have any volunteers to run the final round? I can get the mod updated today if anyone can.

A measured drive from Franck, great to see him salvage 2 points after a poor qualifying.

I was going to run the last round, but I'm incredibly busy over the next couple of weeks so I'm afraid it's a no from me at this moment in time.
