Yeh, maybe we can do teams / teammates. Did any other leagues do that? If yes, how did it work?

Yes, all leagues did that.
First you need a name for the team and for that team the 2 drivers add points
that they get in each event. Each team had a maximum of 2 drivers.

Jeez...what a great old track---if there was a half dozen of these we could run an oldschool season with the period cars and all---just a thought---

Modern f1 was where i broke free of my americanized racing view...i loved GPL but to be honest was not talented enough to run with the big dogs...f1 2001 is where i cut my teeth to the modern tracks ,which are all greats in their own right. the classics of the bygone era is where the racing began and ended---to bring it all back like this track does is to take a peek into the founders of the era of real f1--- this track is as unforgiving, if not more unforgiving as Carlo...the off physics are twice as powerfull and 2/10s late means your snowconed, lift too soon and your a backmarker...opps... = )

I have thought about it. Maybe in a future season. I want Championship Season 2 to be run with the 2014 Mod which I am building at the moment. But certainly I am open to the idea of using old school mods in future, as well as old tracks.

I am conscious about over-complicating things with teams and other things too soon. My main aim for season 2 is make it a more level playing field (sorry Jorge, that mainly means you! ;)). The fuel weight penalty is a good idea and will be a feature next season.

There will be some other rule changes as well.

I have dealt in the past with these kind of issues.
Nothing new and i still won 2 hotlaps championships against drivers that were similar to my level.

No, that's just an alien driving a flying saucer.

;) ;) ;)

re the old era thing. Good idea. i'd like to run with the 1979 mod one day. just an example. Pretty sure we have plenty of old tracks to run a full championship as well.

No. The 2013 Laptop Game is a standalone version of GP4 that has been modified to 2013 specs, so it cannot be used with CSM. You must use a completely stock, original version of GP4 when you want to run a CSM mod like the 1979 CSM Mod.

The concept of a lower-res Laptop Game seems to have gone down well though, so I plan to continue doing both a higher-res CSM mod and a lower-res Laptop Game version of future GP4 Central releases. I'm not sure if I will extend the concept to older CSM mods as it is quite time consuming.

To see another driver's setup you must download their replay (click the disk icon next to their time, or click "Download All Replays" ). Then you must run HOFxLap (download it from the same site as GPxPatch, called SDI Utilities) and put hofxlap.exe in your GPSAVES folder where the replays are saved. Then run it like this:

c:\users\bakmrkr\gp4\GPSAVES\hofxlap.exe jorgeslap.hlq

If that sounds like greek to you, don't worry, in the next season I am planning to create a way to view each driver's car setup right from the leaderboard page.
