Webber was excellent at Bahrain whereas Pizzonia was awful again. Maybe it's time to replace Pizzonia.

Ferrari

We are not satisfied with the results we gained in Bahrain, unfortunately Jos' car gave up on him and Michael just couldn't hook on with the cars in front. Other then today's results we are losing grip in the WDC and WCC. We hope to regain our position in the next few races.

Redbull to takeover Jaguar

It has been announced that Redbull will take over from Jaguar in 2005 while JohnWarrington will remain in charge of the team. The deal sees an extra £5million pumped into the team for the budget for the 2005 season. All eyes will be on JohnWarrington now and how he will spend the extra cash. The team will change name for the start of next season and will be known as Redbull Racing. A press release from the team is awaited.

Honda to cut engine supplies

Honda have announced that in 2005 they will not be supplying 3 teams for the 2005 season. The Japanese engine supplier are currently supplying BAR, Jordan and Jaguar in 2004, but they feel too much is being asked and that they will benefit more by only supplying 1 or 2 teams. However another Japanese outfit look like they could come to the rescue, as Toyota seem to be ready to supply another team with engines in 2005. It will surely become clearer as we move closer to 2005

Heidfeld angry at Jaguar

Nick Heidfeld has declared his anger at Jaguar after the blocking incident that happened in Bahrain. Heidfeld was blocked while pitting as Pizzonia stopped directly behind team mate Webber, in the process blocking Heidfeld's exit of his pit box. "What were they thinking?", said Heidfeld. "Pizzonia had his car directly infront of me! It cost me points today!" More pressure was pilled on Pizzonia after todays race as Jaguar boss JohnWarrington speaking out about his driver saying "Maybe it's time to replace Pizzonia".

Renault Statement

after our poor start to 2004 season, we expected to improve our performances with mid-season tests.
Now we are more optimistic since we made fastest times with our both cars in jerez.
Also the performance of wilson makes us happy.

ARROWS STAEMENT

To be less than a second off the Renaults is incouraging but it was reliability that we are looking for and we were able to improve some parts of the car. Fingers crossed for next round.

This isn't the results we hoped for after the promising start, I think we can write this season off as other teams still have the chance to test. We spent all our money.

ROUND 4 - SPANISH GRAND PRIX - RACE DAY

Hello and welcome to Barcelona in Spain for the 2004 Spanish Grand Prix. This round sees McLaren and Alonso leading the championships, but Williams once again picked up pole. So will things change after this race or not? Let's join the commentators for todays race.

65/65 And they're off as Montoya leads Raikkonen into the first corner

64/65 Raikkonen tries to make a move on Montoya but hits him, sending Montoya off. Montoya is now in 5th while Raikkonen leads

63/65 R Schumacher passes his brother Michael for 7th

62/65 Sato goes off in 10th, he rejoins in 14th. Verstappen is looking quick today as he passes Barrichello for 2nd

61/65 Villeneuve goes off and is running last. Davidson also goes off dropping him down to 21st

60/65 Problems for Renault as Wilson retires from 8th with Engine trouble

59/65 Webber runs off wide losing him a place to Button

55/65 Sato is making a recovery from his earlier mistake as he passes Button for 10th. We also take a look at the top 8 after 10 laps

51/65 A promising day for Renault is soon turning into a disaster as Raikkonen spins off in 1st. He's followed by Massa who was in 14th. Raikkonen rejoins in 19th with Massa just behind him

50/65 Massa must have picked up some damage on that off as he retires from 20th with a water leak. Pitstops also begin on this lap

37/65 A look at the top 8 after those stops

33/65 Two retirements on this lap. The first is Wurz who pulls out of 18th with a puncture. The second is Barrichello as he's out of 2nd with an oil leak

27/65 Final pitstops begin

26/65 It's the end of the day for Coulthard as he retires with engine failure

22/65 Webber passes Sato for 8th although they are yet to pit

20/65 Big crash down in turn one! M Schumacher moves to the inside of Button, they turn in together and touch. Button is launched into the air while Schumacher spins. As Button hits the ground his car smashes into pieces. Thats the end of Button's race and a good chance to score decent points while Schumacher is now 12th after recovering

16/65 A look at the top 8 after those final stops

6/65 Sato passes Jani for 8th

4/65 More bad news and bad luck for Sato as he is forced to pit with an electrical problem dropping him out of a points finish and into 13th. That moves Jani back into 8th but he's there for less then a lap as Webber makes his move to claim 8th. That's a shame for the young Sauber driver

0/65 Verstappen crosses the line to claim his second win of the season! Great result for the Dutchman. Alonso claims second to make sure he stays top of the WDC
