More importantly (and in the basic logic), Christel VXR offered a contract to Jack. This was accepted by Jack, and that acceptance by Jack was communicated to Chris (agent for Christel VXR) - which creates a valid contract. The only way (based on contract law) for the contract to be invalidated was if Christel VXR had revoked the offer prior to the acceptance being communicated by Jack.

As this is not the case, there is a contract between Christel VXR and Jack Elleker - and Jack would be in breach of contract if he pulled out now.

That's what I mean. As we don't have the possibility to use indemnity clauses, Jack can't even buy out of this valid contract by simply taking the risk of being forced to pay an indemnity clause, if he'd decide to break it.

If he pulls out without acceptance of Chris that is (breaking contract) ;) However this seems to be the case, after Chris' statement, that he is 'breaking' contract.

On the contrary - you did accept it. There was acceptance of the deal from both sides - you confirmed the deal had taken place when you announced the driver line-up, and Jack stated this just after the announcement:

If that doesn't point out that Jack is contracted to Christel VXR next season, I don't know what does.

As it stands, the GPGSL are currently deliberating upon this landmark case. There will be an announcement in regards to "Christel VXR Ltd. v. Elleker [2011] GPGSLC 1" in due course. :)

GPGSL Judgement - "Christel VXR Ltd. v. Elleker [2011] GPGSLC 1"

The GPGSL have passed judgement upon the case stated above.

It is decreed that the defendant would be in breach of the contract made with the plaintiff if he were to move to a different team within the GPGSL. In light of this, if the defendant wishes to leave Christel VXR, he will receive a 30 performance point deduction for the next season. If the defendant wishes to remain at Christel VXR for the next season, no further action will be taken.

Given the unprecedented nature of this case, this ruling will be passed into GPGSL law at the end of the current season.

MPR News

MPR would like to announce that Adam Davies the Aston Martin test driver and former racer will be making a guest performance as the second race driver for the team at Monaco

There was media speculation that Ben Johnson would fill the seat, however the team wanted him to concentrate on securing the test drivers championship

The team hopes he will secure the title in Monte Carlo and will then take the second MPR race seat alongside international playboy Matt Houston

The team also says goodbye to Monil Santilal who has left the series, the team thanks him for 2 race wins and a number of podium finishes over his 2 years at the team

Thanks Monil

Is there an agreement to allow Adam to leave AMR for the Monaco GP? ;)

I'm sure Stuart won't mind and will allow it, but just make sure - especially in light of the recent 'court' case between Christel VXR and Jack Elleker (which gives precedence that a driver's current team must allow that driver to terminate the contract/loan a driver out for a race). :)
