Competitiveness is perfectly healthy, Tom - but now you're just being smug ;)
Look at what I did. Shame on me.

hey can i rejoin this series as a tester or something?

Alpha Motorsports Sold

Alpha Motorsports has today been sold to current lead driver Stefan van Renselaar, effective at the end of this season.

With the new rules coming into place in Season 5, team boss Ed Greenhalgh has decided to continue with his racing career in the hope of winning an elusive championship with TSS. This has led to frantic discussions in order to ensure the future of the team and its drivers. At the press conference, Greenhalgh said, "I am happy to see Stefan take over the team. He has risen up the ranks from test driver to race driver to race winner, and now to team owner. He has been crucial in Alpha's growth in the previous two seasons, and already has a strong understanding of team strategy due to the fact that I am unable to make these decisions myself. I am extremely grateful that he has decided to sacrifice his racing career in order to secure the future of the team, and I wish the team all the best into the future."

True North Racing (TNR) Keep Static

In a dual announcement, Mr Mills announced that his team would indeed remain in the GPGSL Championship into Season 5. Unlike the vast paddock shuffling occuring around them, the TNR Team will notice very little difference in terms of inter-team changes.

Both Norbert and Tim have happily agreed to remain with the BMW backed outfit for at least Season 5.

Pending the success of the grid shakeup, the consistent midfield runners are eagerly waiting to work on their qualifying performances over the winter period, which are so far the achilles heel of the team.

It is expected TNR will be running experimental versions of the S5 car for the final three races on the calendar in anticipation to make some radical leapfrogs ahead of their S5 rivals.

TSS does rule and i am happier being in a top team with a better chance to improve. I am dedicated to the cause.

Alpha Motorsports announcement

After was announced that Stefan van Renselaar has bought Alpha Motorsports, the search for drivers has started. Current race driver Alexandre Koemmerer is believed to stay with the team and also test driver Jack Elleker has been offered an extention to his current contract. When we asked the new owner Stefan who will get the race seat that still has to be filled he replied with this: "We have an eye on a driver currently driving for another team." We tried to get a name out of Stefan, but he wouldn't answer that. Various partners are believed to stay with the team, due to contractual reasons.

Stefan is very happy to stay with Alpha Motorsports after having won his first and only GPGSL Grand Prix last season. "Ed has been a great teamboss and therefor I would like to thank him. I wish him good luck with his racing career at TSS."

Snake Motorsports Racing Group enters the GPGSL radically

Unlike the other new teams, Snake Motorsports Racing Group will start as a new team. After failed negotiations with some of the leaving parties team-manager Maikel de Boer decided to start in the GPGSL as a new team. Since the company is already known with the chassis and gathered valuable info while testing the car for season 3 of the Grand Prix Games Super League, they will have no disadvantage by this choice. This decision will mean the new team is currently with no drivers whatsoever. Maikel de Boer said that finding proper drivers isn't the first priority.

The first thing on the agenda is to get the team up and running and ready for business. Believed is that Snake Motorsports will build a new building as headquarters for the racing team, this will be build next to the Snake Motorsports factory so all utilities needed are nearby. The next thing will be to get a, GPGSLRS approved, chassis ready so testing can begin. Until drivers are chosen Maikel de Boer will go and test the car himself, future plans for the current Devil Fox Racing driving are not yet known.

We are looking forward to the start of season 5, hopefully we can show that new teams are capable of doing a good business. We are not anything like Lotus, Virgin or HRT as they go in the Formula one right now, we will be on top of things from race one and we will not accept to just be a grid fill-up. We have high expectations that we are going to try and meet, testing will point out our objectives for season 5, we are not to comment on this yet.

End of statement,
Snake Motorsports Racing Group

Winston Announces He's Ready to Form A New Team If Needed

The craziness isn't over yet. Just days after announcing his team's sale to Southern Cross Racing, Randy Winston has let it be knownthat he's ready to step in with a new team should the GPGSL fall short and he can't get a drive. "I can pull something if need be. I don't wanna be completely left on the sidelines, so if there was a need for another team, we still have our SMD-ZG01's and our Porsche engines, so I could get something done should it be necessary." When asked if Lucky Seven would be the team name, Winston replied: "No. Lucky Seven, as an entity, is in the history books. It's done." He left without giving the new name.

I don't think that will be allowed under the rules, you would need to join the end of the queue again - like I already have.

i must admit im getting a little confused with all this renaming selling and pulling out business. Whilst I am sure everything is being done by the book I wonder would it be possible to have an update to the teams waiting list to see who is where and what chance other teams stand of getting an entry.
This will surely get down as soon as it becomes clear who buys which team and who drives for whom then.

Mal is already in with his team and therefore already out of the waiting list. In addition to that Maikel and Stefan already announced their entrance into the series. So that seems to be clear then as well. Stu and Rod, whose were the others with possibility to get in, haven't made an announcement yet. So here it is to wait on. But if these two take their options, they'll disappear from the waiting list as well and then Keeley would be the first on the list. That is what one can say so far, if I didn't miss anything.

cheers for that Snake that makes things a bit clearer. As well as showing that there still looks to be a long wait for Christel VXR.
Matt Houston has called a sudden press conference...

Houston Announcment

As many of you may know, I was set to begin racing for Dark Xploder Racing for Season 5, this meant I did not re-new my contract with Velox when it was put on the cards.
When the fall out came from the new rule announcement, DXR was to be sold and as I had not been contacted by any new management to re-negotiate a contract, I was left without a drive seat for Season Five.

I was then approached by good friend Monil Santilal down at the casino one night and was told that there was a seat free at Martini Paddock Racing.
I was then contacted by Mr Paddock, team owner of Martini Paddock Racing, and we negotiated a contract.

It is with great pleasure, that I wish to announce that for Season 5 I will be driving for Martini Paddock Racing along side Monil Santilal.
I'm hoping that with a competetive car, and great racing history with Monil, we will be able to do great things for Martini Paddock Racing next season.

Thank you...
