GrandPrixGames SuperLeague - Test Driver Vacancies! - Off Season - Shape poll results P193

As Rick said we just simply lack bhp around Monza. But we are still within touching distance of some points. And for the rest of the season I'm looking to beat Alpha, so in this race we can definatly get Brown at the start.

I think qualifying went better than it could have.

for some reason Ben Brown and Alexandre have swapped roles (Driver #1 and Test Driver #2) in the first post, maybe you could change it back to avoid any confusion :)

it should be...

16. Ben Brown (Shinnbob)
17. Bobby Neil (raikkonensdabest)
Tester 1: Stefan van Renselaar (racingstefan)
Tester 2: Alexandre Koemmerer (AlexSchumi)

Not a good qualy for the team :( must be down to lack of bhp.
We are only 6-7 tenths off the front so it should be a good race if we keep out of trouble.
Bah, 14th.

I hate to be average.

Good luck! Alpha are on the up right now, so feeling good for a competitive race =]

8th, despite using Keeley's helmet. Mine must be lost on the way to Italy...
I should say, I do like the new Lucky Seven car.

Oh, so we take your Porsche engines and your tester so you wanna pay us back by stealing a prospect!

I see how it is!
mprworld.com/news

Today we had a little chat with MPR man Dan Paddock about how its all going down in Monza

MPR: So Dan 9th and 20th on the grid, happy or a little bit disappointed?

DP: Disappointed, no not really, its not awesome but Marko is up there in the top 10. I think we where always going to struggle here with the BHP disadvantage. So with that in mind 9th is a pretty damn good performance. We just need some points really.

MPR: So Dan you lost Ross this week to Lucky 7, how did you feel about that?

DP: Well Ross has done a pretty fine job for us this year in testing, and he did well last year too so ya know it is kinda disappointing to see him go, but he is racing again now and I don't think he was ever really going to turn down an offer like that. We wish him luck for the future, just as long as he doesn't beat us that's all haha.

MPR: So Dan news is that you have split with Porsche, any clues on who's gonna be providing you engines for next year?

DP: Hmmm, the split between us and Porsche is a sad story. When we signed the deal we thought we had exclusivity to the engines, and when they broke that we weren't happy. Clues ay... well we've been in talks with a few manufacturers, one has shown a great interest in joining up with us and news of a deal will probably be released in the next few weeks hopefully. The only real clue I can give is that they have been involved with Martini in motor sport in the past.

MPR: Well Dan cheers for the answers, where off to the Martini Station, maybe we will see you there for a cheeky one

DP: No problem mate, always a pleasure talking with you, and maybe I'll take you up on that later... might have some more news for you ;)

GPGSL Italian Grand Prix

Weather Forecast: 0% chance of rain.

Circuit Conditions: Warm and dry.

Welcome back to Monza, where the weather is still warm and dry with no signs of cloud. Yesterday John Warrington secured yet another pole position for Team Shadow Subaru despite rumors that he will be leaving the team at the end of the current season. Can the brit secure his 4th win of the season or can the likes of Phillip Oakley or Nick Van der Voort spoil the party? The sunglasses are on, the suntan lotion is applied and the race is about to begin so lets cut to the action.

The cars are lined up on the grid and here we go! 1 light, 2 lights, 3 lights, 4 lights, 5 lights ........... We are RACING!

Collision at the front!! Nick Van der Voort has hit John Warrington!

Thats caused havoc, Warrington's facing the wrong way and Oakley is on the grass

All of Nobert Horvath's work in qualigying is undone

What's this!? Monil Santilal thinks he's a airplane pilot?

Looks like he tangled with Jorge Caranti

No damage for Caranti but he's at the back of the field now

How is that car still moving?

Marko Aleksander is in all sorts of trouble

Byron Van het Bolscher has hit him! Byron will need to pit but thats the end of Marko's race

Janis Eglitis tries to pass Stuart Ingers

But that's not how to do it

Thats the end of the race for Ingers

Matty Smith had absolutely nowhere to go

Ross Cartwright is in a bit of a pickle

He's somehow avoided the barrier

Nick van der Voort and Mal Stoddart are having a terrific battle!

Meanwhile Jorge Caranti is on the move

Seems like Nick Van der Voort has lost some pace and a place by the looks of it

Mal Stoddart runs wide at the last corner, that will lose him a few places

Nick Van Der Voort is off the racetrack

John Warrington makes his way through the field

Van der Voort is off again!

That's his race finished

Time for a break and some light refreshments

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Back with the action as Phillip Oakley sets a fastest lap at the front

Spoke to soon it seems, John Warrington sets a new fastest lap as he battles his way through the field

Thats Andrew Fuh dispatched

Bobby Neil passes Zak Tonks

Ed Greenhalgh is all over the back of Matt Houston as the pitstops begin

They are both in together and its a pitlane shootout......and Team Shadow Subaru win it with Ed leapfrogging Matt

Finally! A graphic with the running order. Here is the top 8

9 - 16

And the rest

There goes John Warrington, Zak Tonks is the victim this time

Zak Tonks isn't going to forfeit the place without a battle

Unfortuantely for Zak, John wins the battle this time around

The top 8 as it stands with 11 laps remaining

Ben Brown runs wide

Dan Paddock is on the move

Its still pretty tight down towards the bottom of the field

John Warrington takes 7th place

The top 98 with only 4 laps remaining

Whoops!

Would you believe that! Warrington has passed Paddock for 6th place. What a fight back from the brit.

Phillip Oakley wins the Italian Grand Prix
