Announcement

Audi Sport Team RaltWest (RaltWest Audi for short name) has finally unveiled their cars for the public, with the fixed numbering system in place (14 and 15).

Due to the world economic climate, we were unable to do a new preview with the new numbers, so the preview still shows the livery with the old numbers.

But if someone wants to do a render or a presentation, thanks in advance ;)

Click on the image to download the car and helmets.

Sincerely,
Audi Sport Team RaltWest Management.

Wrong. I have a beard that resembles JB ;)

GPGSLRS ANNOUNCEMENT: STARTER PERFOMANCE FORMULA aka GPGSL driver continuity formula

Season 2 starter perfomance file (on page one) becomes the default for next year when it comes to drivers. Like Season 3 starter perf will be the default for Season 4 and so on. All drivers gained perfomance points in this season divided by three(so called fomulated perf points) , will be added to starter season 2 perfomance file.

Let's say [Janis Eglitis scores 100 race perfomance points, and 120 qualy perf points this season.
First Driver=5,Janis Eglitis,16051,600,16081,600 is his Season 2 starter perf, so

Janis Eglitis 16051+100/3, 16081+120/3, =16084,600,16121,600 will be his Season 3 starter perfomance file (and also default for season 4 where formulated perf points gained from season 3 will be added.)

Last year we divided drivers perf points (ofcourse from races within no unfair advantage) at the end of the season with 2, because we had 10 races, this year we have 16, so we divide it by three. If we will have 20 races in calendar we will divide it by four.
Cca 10 races=divide by 2
Cca 15races=divide by 3
Cca 20 races=divide by 4

Team's gained BHP however will be added to 780,800,800 formula, and all gained(altough unused because of the capp) BHP this year divided by number of races (16 or less, if there are in breach of no unfair advantage rule.). Previous season's BHP are scrapped.
So in theory differences between teams will be 7 bhp( to team 807 and last 800 at the start of every season.)

If a driver who has participated in season 1 does not get a seat in season 2 f.e. and since there is a Friday test »series« in season 2, but he consciously decides that he will not be a part of it, then there is no excuses.
He'll take season 2 starter perf file in possible season 3.

If he somehow misses it due to no fault of his own or there isn't a test series in season down the line, the factor that multiples his previous season efforts is his average.

Driver x,16038,600,16038,600 , his season 2 starter, so he scored 18 formulated perf points in season 1, so another 18 would be counted in for season 3.
We implement the average in it.
16038,600,16058,600 +18=16056,600,16076 would be his starter season 3 fomula.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Few explanations:
Top drivers have been enough devalued not to do it anymore with not keeping all points (that were divided anyway, so called formulated points) from season one .
Warrington- midfielder in season 1- was on top lots in curent winter tests, so it's still close and it shows you can still fall back or advance.

All drivers started from scratch in season one, all these drivers paid "their dues". And GP4 AI gaves them value (in terms of being a simulation AI series driver,ofcourse)
In w300 series top driver had 90 perf points on a rookie, GPGSL has 40 in this season.
In w300 Team Orange had 28 bhp advantage on the backmarking team in season 3 perf file, GPGSL only have 7 bhp potential advantage, so this combo works for still advancing or falling behind.

But rookies should now come with their own good perf file from Friday's tests, so kept main drivers formulated perf poins are balanced to a good degree. So their "dues" actually will be small or even nonexistant if GP4 decides that way:D Same for skipper-rookies.

Anyone who wants to skip the Fridays tests and jump straight into main series next season will face consequences of having a bit of disadvantage,yes.
And yes, Hamilton was great in his first season in F1, but did not jump into it from carting.
Friday tests are our GP2 in a way.

On a side note, but important actually ,the 600 variance GPGSL uses is based on w300. But with 30 points per win in w300, in theory with 20 races it could have gotten to down to 0 in w300.

Funilly enough with our lower scoring using this variance is where "safety net" lays , sort of checks and balances.
See even if there is a 140 points difference between drivers in GPGSL, you could get better time in race.
A driver who has 16230,440, gets values between 15830 and 16670
a driver who has 16100,550 gets between 15550 and 16650
The highest number is the almost the same!
A simulation with season 4 in mind and someone who had 16230,440(presumably perf file from the last race of season 4), was slightly slower than the guy with cca 16100 in qualy.

"If in doubt, Flat out."
GPGSLRS MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: INTERACTIVE BOOST TO PASS SYSTEM INTRODUCED ONLY IN FRIDAY PRACTICES OF GPGSL S2-09

To make the GrandPrixGames Super League even more interesting we have decided to give Mr. Mills idea a go. We have however slightly changed it, into BOOST TO PASS system and are implementing into Friday's tests, to see if it works.
If it will, it will be introduced in races of next season of GPGSL

-Teams will be given 14 extra BHP over an entire season to use at Friday's Practices only. With no bearing on the main perfomance file, only on friday's testers one.

-Teams could use 14 BHP at once or at any possible combinations(1 bhp for 14 tests)
Thus either spare 14 bhp on one Friday test, or distribute it on more tests, f.e. 5extra bhp in Monaco, 7 extra bhp in Interlagos, 2 extra bhp in Austria. The total is 14 extra BHP. Ofcourse the BHP boost will be temporary and only for the chosen test(s). Testers perfomance points gains will be regular*.
-No boost will be allowed in the first test (Melbourne)

-To bring the element of risk however, the failure variance will be higher with more extra BHP used.

12-14 bhp boost at once will mean failure variance of=4000
11bhp boost=3500
10=3000
9=2500
8=2300
7=2000
6=1500
5=1300
4=1200
3=1100
2=900
1=800

-We will start with an interactive system, which means that representative of the team will send their chosen number of the BHP Boost to Mr. Ingers via PM(perf maker, user name Stoopid) three days before the date of the race. Underlined - before the Race date.

Number of the chosen BHP boost, team name and name of Friday's test venue must be in the private messagge. (f.e.: MPR will choose 2BHP at Sepang)
We trusst Mr. Ingers won't use this information to benefit his team DER and clearly can't be representing DER.

Once the deadline passes he will publish the perfomance file. Incase two members of the same team send BHP boost data, he will implement it only if the info will be the same in both PMs. So it is recommended that team members choose one representative.
Dates, calendar should be finalized later this month.
For now we will try to do it from race weekend to race weekend, so dont send your boosts distributed for the entire season in advance.

*Testers position on the Friday Test timesheets will be valued like this: 12 perf points for 1st place,11 for 2nd, etc to 1 point for 12th.
For their qualy perf file they will be getting the same as main drivers in qualifying.(15 for 1st etc,)
We have slightly lowered the number for the testers future "race" file, because it takes more factors to win a race than get a quick lap in tests.

That is why DER have bought him and is being paid extra ;)
tell you what. someone needs to compile a PDF with the manual for GPGSL lmao... too many variables...

at a first sight, i like the boost to pass idea though.

so... WHO THE HELL WANTS TO DRIVE OUR EARTHDREAMS machine? I can imagine that if we dont want to be hypocrite, we probably wont use the boost to pass to save fuel and provide less pollution to the world...

lmfao.

Worry not, Bruno all will be implemented into excel and "one press of a button" will give you results.

Who is going to do the TSM GPGSL Trackpack? Any takers.....?
And Bruninho, if that car is good to go, send the files to Jorge ASAP. As soon as the mod (being worked on right now) and the trackpack is done, GPGTV-FARKED, your crap motor sports coverage channel, will be running the first event. We now have a brand spanking new outside broadcast van and a dedicated broadcast channel.

GPGTV-FARKED, your free to forum totally craptacular motor sports channel, only free because nobody would want to pay for it. ;-)

Matt, possible that Jorge has it in the original mod. I'll check on it later.
