Does anyone else besides Gareth Evans get random crashes caused by changing settings in the menus? He has with GeforceII MX 400 and Win98 SE, and it would be interesting if this hardware or driver related.

Also you people that get the graphics engine stutter in corners, are all using WinXP? And are you all use an geforce MX version of some sort? If yes, which one? If no, what GFX card DO you have then?

Btw, the overhaul of the bug list is almost finished. It is BIG. I cannot really distance myself correctly form my own typing, when the document is so large. So I will send it to Vader and he will do the proofreading and editing. When he returns the list to me, I will post it in a new thread, and close this one.

One more thing about the "graphics engine stutter in corners" problem.

GP4 does one hard disk access about halfway through any track, on the FIRST lap you do of any session. That could be the cause of what you describe. I had that in GP3, GP3 2K and I also have it in GP4.

If this only occurs on the FIRST lap, and none of the subsequent laps, then I am pretty sure we know what it is.

Thrustmaster Thrustmapper bug

Don't know if this one has been listed yet... (I ain't got time to look through the previous 100+ posts! :))

I dunno if it's a conflict with my Thrustmaster Thrustmapper software or not... looks very likely!

When I insert my GP4 cd to start the game, the screen stays black! Without the thrustmapper, the game loads!

If you have the same problem, I did find a crappy way around it.... as soon as that Safe CD splash thing appears on the screen, press the eject button on your CDROM. The black screen will appear, but this time will prompt you to reinsert your CD... do so, and the game will load normally WITH the thrustmapper settings.... WEIRD!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah... SORT OUT THAT FRICKIN' FRAMERATE/GFX!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, the microfreezes are happening for me on every lap, not just the first.

Thanks Xero and Gareth Evans. The graphic engine stutter is now on the overhauled lists "needs tests" section, and the Thrustmaster problem has been add to the list under "General Menu system, Videos and controllers". I still need to work my way through the Tracks bug section and that will take a while. So the new list will be up, hopefully sometime tomorrow.

BUG REPORT :(

loosing a front wing seems to have little or no effect on car handling or response/ grip etc. I managed to sustain a 4th place in the rain at melbourne on ace skill level!!!!!!!!!

Minor report:

I got a screenshot of the bug that Ellis posted about a while ago, where the helmet cam view is actually seen on the T-Cam View. The link to the image is [ [] ].

I've noticed that when using the helmet cam view and it is raining, when you are sitting in the pits (garage) the rain drops still appear on your visor!

Don't know if anyone else had spotted this but just thought I should mention it.

I too have experienced the problem where you get stuck up on the jacks after pitting on the first lap (It seems Intermittent though)

Hope these are of help.

Can't seem to get the TV telemetry working either (and yes it is on in the menu)

Cheers
Whitey

Or even the 3rd and final one. I can't believe I did all that project management and typing last summer. I can get all exhausted just looking at it now. ;-)
