Hi Ian!

Your renders are better than mine. I have always got a blur on my screens and also an aliasing on some lines that I can't remove. Maybe my GC or something to set on Keyshot 5.
So, I think that your settings are great. Maybe I can help you with the tyres, btw.
I will send you some screens from my settings by PM.

I've had this texture laying around for a while now - hence last years sponsors - but finally got around to properly rendering it today.
It also has the honour of being the first scene rendered by my newly built PC, which has already proven itself wonderful for this sort of thing.
I also upgraded to Keyshot 6 which allowed me to overcome some limitations I ran into when trying to render this in Keyhsot 5.

Yeah Doug , unfortunately doesn't look so well like the renders . By the way , where did you get this skin ?

Painted it myself in GIMP. The white areas and the logos are placed on the texture like normal but, instead of painting the purple onto the texture, I left the purple areas transparent.
In Keyshot - the program I use for rendering - I give the body the purple metallic paint, and then apply the texture as a 'label' over the paint.
This allows the purple areas to have the metallic finish I want, and gives the white and logos the matte appearance I want.
I'll post some in-game screenshots in the other thread when I get a chance.
