Very nice render, Aus-Doug!
Into the scene tab, you can also fix your 3d model on the ground and into the camera tab, show the grid on the ground so that your 3d model fit better again regarding the ground , for the shadows....;-)

Still nice and I know that Tobi will still criticize your engine cover lines ;)

Should already be the ones I did. They look perfectly fine on the texture, but end up getting distorted a bit on the shape :/

Nice F3 render Doug! Could've used one of those for presentation a couple of months ago when I was racing that car in RDGPC.

I know, the ones on my car do the same. I got it down to a level I can live with and that you won't notice in-game anymore, but getting it perfect for the renders is nearly impossible.

The cars and the helmet look great, but the tyres definitely need some work (running rims, tyre textures and (no) reflection)

Yup, I agree with the tyres/rims comment.

Thanks,
Iain.

Thanks Marcus.
Very nice Iain.
The texture on the tyres looks fine, but I'm wondering what material type you're using?
I use 'Plastic', add some Roughness, and use a Bump Map.
Also, for the rims, (assuming this model came from Assetto Corsa?) the blurring is usually a separate model mesh. Delete that, and it should be OK.

Ahh, I'm still new to this rendering stuff! I didn't know the blurring was a separate model (learning every day!!)

I use the preset "tire" for the actual rubber and then plastic with a high reflection for the wheel nut (which looks nice imo)

I applied a 2 hour render (just to see what differences would be found) and I can't honestly see too much from the 2 minute one...

Thanks,
Iain.
