W300 Season 3 || New series being discussed

Exactly my idea Ruben. All W300 teams should have been asked first with an possibilitie to announce theire choice in a week or something. If then we wouldnt have answered or whatever the spots could have been filled. Now half the field are noobs with no experience.

you do realise that when GPG died for you it died for everyone? so you not getting here in time had nothing whatsoever to do with the site being down, cause no one could get on.

I'm gonna tip-toe around the topic of who should be team managers as I really don't know

Instead I'm gonna jump in and say we need to revise the performance system. Obviously we want to keep the idea of drivers' performances being based on their championship points, right? Do we want all teams with identical performances? I personally think we can use the old system but adapt it so that championship points are worth less performances points. In the W300, 4 championship points = 1 performance point (roughly), I propose this is changed to a ratio of 8:1 to make the teams closer. I don't think all teams should be identical however as there is then no point in having teams at all.

THis isn't W300 anymore, this is something new. We start all over again. And it isn't much of a problem there are 'n00bs with no experience' because you have been one too.

Yeah, we should keep the perf system, maybe with a few little alternations here and there, if necessary.

yeah agreed, the 8:1 ratio for teams sounds good.

@Paul & Nick, I'm not saying I agree with Ruben and Rico - I believe new people should be able to get involved BUT we/you do need some experienced people to get the series up and running. Building carsets, getting permission for all aspects of the carset or making your own files before you can release the carset, making the performance files, painting all the liveries for cars and helmets etc.

this system seems a little unfair, but i'll add my name to the list just in case we continue with this.

Only msater and DJRotty are totally inexperienced with this. That means the nine other team bosses have been involved in some way. They know how this works and can help setting this things up. The new people can also help by giving suggestions from new aspects we haven't thought about.

Well if we use the w300 carshape I will be using the Sony Racing Mercedes car I used at the start of the S3 season and use the same name. I will drive the first car and am looking for 2 drivers.

The forum was sunday evening online again and thats when all the team slots were taken, i was not online that time due the weather and the forum was already 3 days offline, so waiting for the forum to get back online is wasting time.

Allright guys, here's a question. Do the drivers use their real life names? Or is it possible to use your first name and middle name instead of the last one? I for one cherish privacy on the internet, so I think it's a fair question.

I don't see why you couldn't use your middle name instead of your last one but it's not down to me.

Or you could just use your first name, like Zico or Kaka.
