No objections here. I think your privacy is more important than a silly rule forcing you to have you using your real name.

Ya, I know, but I just wanted to be fair.
As I posted before I want a seat in team, won't demand No. 1 status, but won't obey team orders either, LOL.

To think we have all this driver and team talk and we haven't even finalised rules and a calendar LOL

Getting back to the set up of the series, I would also like to propose a new points system. 30,25,20...etc once again favours the front runners massively. I propose:

1st: 15
2nd: 12
3rd: 10
4th: 9
5th: 8
etc

BUT with 1 point for pole and 1 point for the fastest Lap.

This would ensure the field is kept tighter in the championship and there are fewer run away drivers such as Rico, Turnbull, Rayman in the W300.

That sounds like a good plan, will make it closer and more unpredicatable.

How about an extra point for the drivers who leads a race in any lap as well? it wouldn't matter if you lead for 10 or 1 laps, you'd get 1 point.

Looks nice Then there is also a possibility of scoring no points at all when you finish.

However, a 8:1 ratio would be a little high. If we were to keep that points system, we need to get back to 3:1 at least.

To compare:
W300 system: 30 points -> 7,5 perf points
New 1:8 system: 15 points -> 1,875 perf points
New 1:3 system: 15 points -> 5 perf points.
A triple (pole, win, fastest lap): 17 points -> 5 2/3

I think the problem with that is the possibility that too many drivers will get bonus points, and what if one driver leads from start to finish, a lot of points to him

I thought about that and figured it would be unfair as (assuming we have pit stops in races) teams cannot choose their pit strategies and so points would be given unfiarly to those cars which made later pit stops than the leaders.

For sure then the performance would have to be adjusted - 1:3 sounds good but we'd have to run some practise races and stuff to tweak the performance numbers

EDIT: BTW the 1:3 ratio would only be for the Constructors' performances, drivers would still get the 1:1 ratio as one performance point for drivers is worth much less than for teams.

the idea here is to give 1 point if you led the race. Just the fact that you led, you get one point.
Led from start to finish - 1 point
Led on lap 3 alone - 1 point.

@Tom: But it would mix things up, so frontrunners would not have such advantage by default. Think of it as "safety car"-esque lottery.

And how about dropping the 9 points and move the rest one place up, then you'd get a top 10 scoring points, rather than a top 11.

actually you'd need to drop the 9 and the 7 to get a top ten scoring

I see what you mean 'insert desired name here' but I don't think it's entirely fair to award points unless people deserve them.

This is an AI series, so it's a big lottery already

It's a good thing for me it's an AI series. If I had to drive i'd be at the back every race

It would be the same for everyone, though, and that's a rule from Champ Car World Series. Oh, and name inserted.
