have you tried this?
If you open your C:\Program Files\ZaZ Gp4 tools\Settings\Carset Manager.ini file in otepad you'll see a line like:

Updatepath=HTTP://files.vadertrophy.com/zaz/csm/1.26/Update/

and then run the updater included?
it should the update the core to .995

It doesn't. It says that it is "unable to retrieve list"

so that means that csm can not make contact with the sever? maybe your firewall/antivirus is not allowing csm to contact the server?

no worries it takes a bit of perservernce but once you get csm/tsm up and running you wont look back

I totally agree with you. It took me 3 hours to make the TSM profile work, but now I am very pleased with the Mod.

Hello,

I'm new here and I like to use this 2006 patch. But when I start CSM i het to errors:

1. your exe is not the original one You have modified you executable with other tools. Install a new fresh exe
2. You most likely copied a .csm file... (see post Turbo Lover page 4)

I'm new, so I hope you can help me?

i cant run it

first of all it says i need a new decrypted exe and original wad file

im on holiday and dont have my gp4 cd!

is there a way to get round this problem

Yes, go to options and uncheck 'original cars.wad and gp4 exe'

I've also got a small problem, in cockpit view the tyres flicker!

problem is in the f1graphic file.

well Kizz ,

i appreciate ur opinion friend.Nobody wants their work get leeched or whatever.

But I or We(NON-CSM lovers) waited for long,long,long time and enjoyed screenshots from screenshot masters and appreciated ur work.

though i am not kid or teenager i Love this game and dreamed about some cars to play in my GP4 which is included ur car too and finally what we get is this?

Thanks for asking change in our opinion's about CSM but i really find fun and enjoyment in updating manually.

well u should mention this before that ur car will not be released open public and will only be provided with CSM or Season set b'coz so that i can make my mind from that day only. this can be joke for anyone but this is it.

The carset manager doesn´t work well in my computer
(Tried to register broken objets
do you want to try to load the application (again))
that mensage put me every time i try to inice it,the carset manager is the correct

sunil, updating manually is still possible with CSM. I always hated using sets or mods, so made my own sets, and with CSM its much easier. I've made hundreds of requests to Zaz to make CSM better, so I can make better mods too.
CSM just offers so much, and it takes away alot of the hassle with packing/unpacking wads, naming cars and slots, and now with TSM you can easily choose any track you want to race on - not just you have installed.

So wether you use this mod or do it manually I still recomend CSM

As for the locking I think its a good thing, and very happy it got working. I know Fongu probably wouldn't have released his cars at all after what happened to his initial release, and I don't know about kizz, wether he wouldv'e released or not.

But lile I said, the lock is in a beta stage and Zaz plans to make it better, and make it possible to use it without CSM (i think!!)

And Zaz and I (and others) have always been helpful with CSM trouble, and will carry on that way for a while yet.

Like I said, nothing against CSM. I also understand the reasons for going down this route but I don't want to have to be forced to use something that I don't want to.

Once again it's the minority (leechers) ruining it for the majority.
