Hehe, i don't know it anymore, of at least 3 cars there are several versions, released (or in the future they will be) on several sites, with several links in several topics. :P I give up :P

After hours of working out why my PO in GP4 has gone through the roof and close to undriveable I finally nutted it down to the MF1 I installed.

Can anybody tell me why this car has not 1 x 5.4Mb tex file but 4 x 5.4Mb (2 x for Albers and Monteiro respectively).

When Rom1 and Enzojz and co can release cars in 1 x super high 5.4Mb file why was the directive taken for a super super super super super high res when the quality comparsion is similiar.

Is their any way this can be rectified to 1 x 5.4Mb to make it playable? My system is no slug, but with this configuration is slows down to a crawl.

Thanks in advance :)

the 5.4 MB file is for the race and the other 4 tex files are for the testing session, i think. Because the have the drivernames on both sides on the car

Hi quickslick

No I think your thinking of Stijn's car which is like that :)

This one when you extract it has the following:

hi_midland_1.tex = 5.44Mb
hi_midland_2.tex = 341k
hi_midland_3.tex = 5.44Mb
hi_midland_4.tex = 5.44Mb

When I remove say 3 and 4 the car is uncomplete :)

downsample those 2048x2048 textures to 1024x1024, you'll have 1.3Mb textures then :)

I'm against sigpics

Ya, I have the same problem too when I installed this car my PO is through the
roof. The tex sizes are way too big. Take Rom1's Renault for example, it is just ONE
5 mb file. It would also be nice if there was lower lods.
