LO2K´S..

just curious...

why we are not allowed to change left n right positions of track parts in track profiler?

would it crash the game?

no, it's just because it need a little more work than changing center of each sector so I left this feature for a next release. Anyway, as displaying left and right positions is easy, i did it yet.

@Tony : both fences troubles are fixed for next version (only left fences had constant mapping and mapping coordinates were incorrect anyway)

Thanks :)
I wonder if it would be possible to combine the boject and frence builder somehow, so you could for instance build an object every nth sector? Mainly for fence posts and things like that - ie. build one x*y*z box every sector. I'm thinking it would be good for street circuits to have 3d fence posts.

You can make a transparent texture with only the fence post at the end.

yep, this feature is on the todo-list but my goal is to provide a better precision than just the 16-feet long sector length.

ok, yesterday i try my hockenheim 1991, shadows and objects appears and disappears... i create new scenes for subdivide better the lods, but nothing.

At this point it's better convert to gp4 the whole dat (and then adding the old chichanes tarmac from original track)?

Thx.

@cleberpister : you converted track has tarmac meshes without the TRACK classes. that means they are displayed at the same time as the .bin GP4 tarmac and that's why you got the overlapping.
I do believe the best solution is to delete converted tarmac "objects".

ok now i gotta a question ..

what class do i have to select for pitlane ´´asphalt´´ to be shown in game?

i tried to select PITLANE01 as ´´ track class and nothing happens..

is there any way to do that? only tarmacmap TEX in resources folder are shown .. what do i have to do to change pitlane tex? ( when building the track i used a totally diff color texture for this part..)

well, basically, you can't do that easily.
Either you keep the .bin file and change your pitlane objects to a custom class (try NLAND) to get them displayed in game and both surfaces will overlap.
Either you use a custom class and modify .bin vertices manualy to avoid overlapping (putting them lower than the track surface is the usual trick) but then you will loose jip mapping (lines) and probably skid marks, oh and wet effect too.

I have a problem:
I need a bollard object from Hungaoring 2006 or Istanbul 2005. When I extract the .gp4 file and open it I cannot export any .gp4 object :( why?
I am using TSM and this might be the reason. When you install a track via TSM then somehow this option is disabled when opening the .gp4 file. For tracks not used by TSM yet it works fine.

EDIT: I even cannot extrac the objects from a 'clean' file in my downloads folder...weird.

Can anyone please try to extract the 'bollard' objetc from Istanbul or Hungaroring tarck 2006...I need it urgently as soon as possible.

try an older builder version, perhaps even 3deditor. it should work with these.
