@Gildoorf :
Just a thought : did you recreate the .col file ?
It looks like bad reflexions...or maybe all your objects have the REFLECT (don't remind the exact name) class.

Hi Laurent!

Good to hear you once again, mu friend...

Well, I have not recreated the col file, since it was a very first wad made since I re-installed all GP4...

It seems to have something to do with rain, because I set rain probability to 0% at gpx patch and it´s ok now...

About Bahrain, I really don´t know what is up with this s1ct04.dat...

Cheers, and thanks for answer :)

You should never use the 4th track as base unless you want to update Imola. The Imola .gp4 becomes very unstable when deleting objects...so if you have a s1ct04.dat file you probably also have a imola2001.gp4 file, right?
Try to export all the stuff from the .gp4 and use another track as base...and don't forget to rename the .dat file, too. That might be a solution.

Edit: Just to make sure, the problems occur with the Bahrain track which uses the s1ct04.dat file you talked about, right?
I was not sure now if you refered to to the same or two different projects.

Hockenheim is the most stable gp4 file to use as base Gildoorf.

Oh, good info :) But I never experienced any troubles with other track, just Imola. So I any other than Imola should be ok.

To be honest, i never had experience with other gp4 files hehe, but Jim adviced me some long time ago to use the Hockenheim gp4 file as base.

With Hockenheim you can easily delete all the objects and importing new stuff, so that's why i guess it's the most stable one.

Hi there

Well, I´ve made Vallelunga with S1CT04.dat as base and it was bug free all the way...

And Mr. Jimbob has told me the same as you, Turbo...

Please Martin and Lo2k, have a look at your PM as soon as you can...

Cheers

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong here, but the Melbourne wad seems very unstable. Just trying some new fantasy layout, and half the time I do changes to the .gp4 or .bin's it crashes.

Aaaaargh honestly. Any idea why a pitlane.bin would crash? I got the wad working without it now, nevermind the s1ct01.dat physics file which loads absolutely fine - which makes me think the problem isn't in track flags or anything like that, but something like too many sectors / sectors poorly positioned, maybe? Anyone had any similar problem?

Is there a way to move all the objects in a scene at once?

Concerning Imola, you won't have troubles if you use once the Gp4Builder tools to convert lods to objects (then fix parts to object links maybe).

And no, there's no feature to move all objects from a scene.

@Lo2k: Totally agree with convert LODS to object tool. It really solved some graphical issues at vallelunga wad indeed.

Ask for this in a new topic, Lo2k is offline for a while and I'll make a guess and say his site may be as well. Someone will have it or know where you can get it.

The site is online, and I have no problems in downloading GPBuilder from there. If it still doesn't work for you, get it from here [rapidshare.com]

When building a pitlane, what should I take into consideration to make a decent work? I remember Ruben said that the first 5 sectors wouldn't be visible ingame, so the pitlane should have at least 5 sectors before moving apart from the track, is that right?

Also, about the width, should it include the part of the pitlane where the cars stop, or just the road until the red or white stripe that's usually painted. I mean, should it be just the part marked in green in this image or the wider pink one?
