Has no-one discovered the simple and some times irrittating problem though, that as soon as your track finally works in game after ridiculous amounts of tweaking, that you become terribly addicted?

Hell, I made my first track and look what happened to me ;)

Thanks for the compliment...theres a lot of talented people out there making tracks atm which is great...the guides are ok , but it's when you start to edit tracks & stumble upon things/solutions is when it starts to pay off.. my guides were basic/outdated now i suppose but helped a few people im glad.....now more & more people are creating more quality based tracks the more the need for the info found to be shared......there is a lot of guess work at times for solutions/problems...buy hey its fun to be building a track so many may enjoy.....well done to everyone currently braving the unknowns of trackediting.......oh yeh.. we are really lucky to have such a talented programmer as lo2k working on 3d editor & the other gp4 tools...........

Hi there you all

@jimbob: thanks for the .col file, man! Now it works, see these pictures:
And yes, ccline as made by my own. But it's not ok for me yet. There are a couple of things to change, and this still means to change the whole stuff...

@jax: as you read on mail, here comes the picture of your adverts.
PS: Was there something I lost? About a thread or something? :) Easy guys, no stress.

@zeppellin: I would really apreciate your landing project. But, as my first attempt, I think it's ok, very enjoyable - and really hope you gonna like. As jimbob said, I just have to be worried - for the moment - with the land that appears on cockpit, Tcam and tv screen views... No hurry. For the next track I'll try to learn 3dmax with a friend of mine who works with architectural modelling. Anyway, You have been really generous with me and whole community. I'll just need your evaluation before launch, ok?

As I said on mail, I'm out for a week travelling for the job. See you next sunday then. As soon I return I'll be back on track editing. Till then, picture of progress so far...

Cheers and have a nice week you all

Well, it looks really nice. Great job... Yes, about the thread I opened for you there was a trouble with BigBrother and others cause I was in emergency (?) to have your mail at home (I've had lost it) and they said I did the mess on the forum. But it doesn't matter. Calm down, BigBrother and other boys ;-)

hi gildoorf ..the track looks better & better... from the screen shots mabey take this into consideration...the red circled areas..it's better to have the signs support legs outside the track fences as in real life tracks....i had this problem in my track i wanted to place the signs in a certain part of track but legs were not wide enough...your friend in the 3d moddling job..can he make sections of hard rail that can be imported into gp4 & positioned where ever you want...if so a hard rail could be placed round the support legs??? (zm compatable hopefully)

what graphics card are you using & what resolution are you running gp4 at..the screen shot quality looks excellent....well done to you & all involved in this.... Boas ferias.

I would be happy to check it over before you release it. As it stands currently, I think that there shouldn't be any problems :)

Gildoorf, really nice work. I think it's better you've deleted the Toyota logos on the edge of the finish line (pic 4). As soon as I'll receive your track, I'll make you comments. For this moment I love it. And strange, I like this orange-honey colour of the sky. One suggest : if you want to keep this sky, attach another blue for the users can choose.

By the way, I make other adverts : Scwheppes, Elf, Texaco, Vittel, Gitanes etc...

Nice work again ! ;-)

jimbob: I solved that problem with the pillars. Just scaled the object and then displaced it with Z coordinate. Hey, have you seen 3deditor 16? .col file? Not a waste of time, indeed. But Lo2k seems to antecipate us...
My graphic card is a Geforce ATI 128mb. Do you think it's really nice?

yep 3d editor 16..after i spent time editing the col...great feature though..
the screen shots look great..... have you imported placed the garages yet????

hows it going in general any ctds?????

@gildoorf:
Very good track - looks quite challenging:)
Perhaps a little hint: You could create some run-off areas with tarmac (especially at hairpins). As I see from you screenshots, the verges and banks are only made up of grass.

Hi there,

Thanks for the complements. Track is almost finished, I hope.

@jimbob: I appreciate your help at this moment. With one special thing:

I have to import the REQUIRED-garages from all teams (.gp4 and .tex and .tga files) to put into my wip track folder. Remember I use Shangai Basis! Would you do this to me and mail?

I have to import all pitwall from all teams too.

I tried to do this with Shuttle´s Shangai version 2.0 but with Tex2tga I had some problems with some archives. It would be really helpful if you could manage this for us. You have to ask me soon cause I´ll have to do by my own, ok?:)

One other thing, and this ask Ruboy too. No matter for me detaching faces. The only problem is that I tried first with escape areas and had a CTD problem. If you see on pics, there´s really not too many escape areas, but this happened because when I tried to make more, it crashed to ctd. Then I tried to detach faces on rails, and it work in part - only for left rails. When made to right rails, CTD!!! So, i intend to do this very patiently, detaching and testing...

So far, NO CTD problem, except for these ones I related.

@jax: I think your work is awesome, and it really work well on this wip track. I think when you get the .gp4 file you will be able to experiment others textures to verges and kerbstones and gravels, horizon appeareance and all other stuff you judge necessary to change. I evaluate then, ok? Wait till friday...

@To all: is "

Yes, gildoorf, I'll try my best. I move from Paris for a while but I'll be able to receive your mail(s) and file(s) and work on your track cause I'll have all my "tools" with me. You can count on me ! ;-)

Hi there

@jimbob: thank you so much, mate: everything is in the right place!!!!

Now I'm cleaning the wip folder. As you recommended.

Before sending to you I'll try another detaching to create more escape areas: wish me luck...

Somebody has or knows as to correct the problem of the entrance of boxes (pit-lane) in the circuit of Hockeinheim (Germany) 2004/2005? When you go to enter or to leave boxes they appear gram over asphalt. In which archive that if arranges this? In the archive dat or gp4 (inside of the archive wad)? They can help me. Grateful
