Hi there you all

Here's my first and non-concluded track project. I think I will have no further time to work hard on it for the next two months...

Hope you enjoy it, and if anyone want to change it or help me on making z modeler work, no problem. Just mail me, ok?

I've downloaded it too but I'm not skilled with 3DEditor. But if I can do something else (adverts etc...) let me know, you or Laguna.

Version em portuguese:
gildoorf, excelente trabalho!!!!

Version in english:
gildoorf, excellent work!!!
I found very interesting this track.
Quick, easy it drive, but challenging in some points.
Due to absence of plates, is difficult drive, do not we have references.
I found that be able to have more area outside of the trail, with the most distant walls of the track.
But even so congratulations! !!!

hi there you all

Thank you so much for all the comments.
Hope now I'll be encouraged to go on. And today is my birthday, have to say

Indeed, I started to make some adjustements with new Lo2k 3deditor 15.3 - really good stuff - and now I think you motivated me to restart the project.

I'll need all help from you on:

1. adverts
2. 3d objects (bridges, buildings, etc)
3. textures

I think i can handle fences, escaping areas, and whole approval at the end hehehe

This is it.

PS: Jimbob, YES, you're really helpful
PS: Celinho, eu sou brasileiro e não desisto nunca :)!!!! Valeu os comentários....

I appreciate your big help Jax. But I have to remember I have no further modelling or texture skills. My full skill is the track as I send.

Anyhow, I thank you once again, and ask if you could apply these adverts on track, would you?

The hardest part of doing the graphics is making textures, the objects begin to take form with practice but making textures is a different package, so I wish you good luck if you start making your own :)

@Ruboy : You mean the size ? 142k. There're 18 adverts of different sizes.

@gildoorf : you said : "I ask if you could apply these adverts on track, would you?" I can make adverts but I can't place them with 3DEditor. I just do the (track)2001_page_000.tex to apply in the wad with Wadupdater. If it's what you mean, so yes, no problem. Just let me know it when the track will progress.

@Ruboy and gildoorf : these adverts are those I made for my personal Project GT mod Sepang track. Take a look below. It's just a little bit but... :

More details here (download it !):

[213.92.118.15]

I can make other adverts if you don't want having the same than on my personal Sepang. I used to do that before. We'll choose the adverts together if you prefer.

Jax: thanks for the adverts, they're really cool. Indeed, there was a misunderstanding.

I think this weekend gonna take a time learning how to place pictures at 3d editor. And gonna try to end escaping areas and fences.

Just for curiosity: this was another attempt, failed, with some more corners and elevation.

And more curious: what are your lap times on track?

Which one ? Your new track ?

Anyway I love speed, so I use Cmagic. I open the file of each .dat track and I change the value of "track grip" till 20000 or even 22000. I change too the value of fuel. My hotlaps are surrealists :-) :-) For instance, thanks to this cheating my best lap on A1 ring is... 1"01'533 on race. So crazy, no ? This is the reason why I can't do championships online. :-) :-) Indeed, it's only for my own pleasure and fun.

1"14'*** on your new track.

And what about you ?

P.S : why do you say the other attempts are failed ? They seem nice and you can edit them, no ?

hi there

@Jax: I really do not have time on week to play, but if I remember it was a 1:13.99999 or something higher. As Track builder, I managed to slow down some corners and raise a kerb or two :) As I said, gotta be reading some about placing textures and using 3d objects from other bin files. Do you recommend some tutorials?

@Jimbob, where are you? I´m up to restart the old layout (see my last post), but it has some elevations that i did by my own way. Do you have some preliminary tips to start a new scracth with elevation degree?

@celinho: cara, como a gente pode se ajudar? Seria legal dividir um projeto com vocês, mas confesso que minhas habilidades atualmente se restrigem àquelas mostradas em New 1.0. O que você me diz?

@ To all: I like Tilke´s tracking. It´s, for me, the best approach to modern tracks. I think it inspired me on these two tracks. What do you say?

Cheers!!

hi gildoorf concerning the preliminary tips to start a new track from scratch with elevation degree? i think the best man for this advice would be auradrummer. pm him & ask, he's working on a oval with banking & elevations so he could help there.. the 3d objects from other tracks i did a tutorial on this on the real gpx forums.. a brief tutorial...is the name....

this tutorial guides you through importing objects from other tracks & giving them associated tex files... if you need any help on this side just pm me & i see if i can help further. great work so far as i know it's nice to get the basic track loading in gp4 & then sorting out the look etc... just remember trackediting is still in the learning process , so be ready for things to go wrong at times........ trial & error is a great way to learn (not) ...

Hi gildoorf,

I think the tutorial included in the 3Deditor contents many explanations. But you can go to the Lo2k and Duffer realGpx forum. There's an english section and you can talk to Lo2k about any difficulties you can have.
