i've been working on and off on some new tracks, and thought i'd share here. maybe some creative juices get flowig somewhere as i'll need a bit of help with these sometime soon ;-)

not all are working and they are all very basic (ie no scenery) but i'm working slowly on them.

some DTM inspired ones:
Brno

Nurburgring

Norisring

Lausitz Eurospeedway - there will be this tri-oval and the DTM versions
this is my latest one - its much fun and has lots of sparks for some reason :)

a quick burke lakefront

2005 nurburgring

silverstone from 1952 to 1990

Helsinki

a couple of oldones available on my site already:

suzuka east

hockenheim short

if anyone sees their favourite track and wants to help or try them get in touch. i'll try putting some online soon for people to try out.

:o Wow! Amazing!

Excellent work there b-tone :)

Do you have any tips for me as to how to create realistic elevations?

That Lausitz Eurospeedway looks good, but I'm an Englishman and so I would love to see some old version of Silverstone.

I thought you might be working on the nurburgring tony, have you done any of the graphics yet? I've only just started making stuff in 3ds max, but I'm sure I could give it a go at making a couple of buildings on at least one of the tracks if I get any spare time :)

@Willb. using nurburgring as an example, you need some data about the elevations, like video, or something.
then i 'guess' the highs and lows, and work out gradients in between:
(h2-h1)/s
h1=initial height
h2=end height
2=number of sectors

so if you want sect0 to be 0.0 and sect10 to be 2.0:
(2-0)/10=0.2
sect0 - 0
sect1 - 0.2
sect2 - 0.4
etc
then test it in game to make sure its all smooth. :)

@marclister - i'll probably do all silverstones. once 1952-74 is good i'll add the kinks for 75-80 and 81-90 (i think), so 3 versions in all :)

@zeppilin. nothing else but what you see really. for nurb i'll probably just add some ad boards where necesary and use existing textures.
it would be great to have some help :)

@Fuji - Zandvoort is on the list (1979, 2005 and more versions?) but i'll leave it for a while as i want to make a good job of that one ;-)

other tracks i hope to see one day are all the ones associated with my mods - so 1979, 1988, DTM, 1996 ITC, 1994/5 etc.
i think i have a 79 ostrichring somewhere - maybe i can get it working now.
but i have a lot of prolems with bins :s
track bins are only partially visible, and pit bins either crash or freeze the game. i'm sure all the answers are out there somewhere tho :p

about bins, make sure your last sector isn't overlapping the first one when generating bin files (if there is overlapping, delete last sector, generate bins, add the sector again), i had that problem and Maverick told me how to solve it :)

yeah i tried that. i havent really gotten into bins yet, so i'm not too worried.
should all bin sectors be 60 vertices?
i think my last was 30, but then deleting the last secotr and making a new bin gave the last bin sector 12 vertices :s

before i forget (how could i?), a big thanks to Lo2k and maverick and others for their works :)

i don't really know about the amount of vertices, but that's something i should take into account, i just checked my files and i'm having some bin sectors with 0 vertices, that could cause some trouble :)

Hello Tony,

Eurospeedway track seems to be finished. When do you plan to release it ? ;-)
