Is it just me or does Spa look really boring without the bus stop in it?

Why boring? Imagine you are approaching La Source with 350 km/h:)

thats the stuff, paco ;-)

i noticed you can export a list of values from 3deditor, but no import?
that would be great anyway to export that bustop-euarouge sectio so you just then need to retype the values back in. exciting stuff :p
when did silverstone change its start place?

Oh you just need two instances of it open, at least that's what i do if I want to change a bit of track, seeing as you can't import the blurb yet. Head over to realgpx.com and see if Lo2k will add it to his to-do list for the next version

does any one know, or can guess, what the lausitring tri oval banking values are?
their site has: Slope (max.): 10% / 5.7 degree
for the oval theres 3 straights and three curve. the start/finish straight looks like it has no banking, but where zanardi crashed (turn 1) looks steep.
so would all 3 turns by 10% and all straights 0?

I'd say the straights are 0-1 degrees, with the corners being up to 5.7 degrees as their site says. Doesn't mean all three are 5.7 degrees though, I don't think - T1 could be 4.2 degrees, with T2 5.1 degrees, leaving T3 the 5.7 degrees.

thanks james.

these all have max: 5.7

this has 4.5

so assuming those figures are right, using deduction the third staight is 4.5?
dont beleive that.
i ahvetn found any decent onboard laps, but can someone with toca or whatever see if they can compare the angles?

I've started Brno again and its working ingame. just a few bumps to smooth out, then the bins, pitlane.... but i think i'll send out a test version of brno and lausitzring this weekend if anyone wants them.

I think you've read it wrong there Tony, the straight might be 4.5, but that's 4.5%. If 10% is 5.7 degrees, 4.5% would be 2.565% or there abouts.

Also, that 4.5% might not be in reference to the straight - it could be the max banking of one of the turns on the infield.

Don't back the s/f straight with anything over 2 degs as the cc screws up and goes round the track as though they are cruising through the pitlane, I don't know why, but I noticed it when I was playing with an oval :)

if you compare the 3rd pic and the one unerneath, the site has them as max=5.7 and max=4.5.
and as those too configurations are near identical apart from turn 3 (top right) then turn 3 must be 5.7.
and the second straight may be 4.5 as the home straigh t is pretty flat - as is te infield.

From DTM.de:

"Some sections are marked by a 10 degree-steep banking, which is unique in the DTM calendar."

That doesn't tie in with the official track site O_o

:veryconfused:

yeah, odd that :p
they must mean 10%

but i've written to them and asked for more info, and hopefully someone can get some idea from toca or another game.
i managed to convert some objects from another game, but couldnt convert the actual track.

it looks like DTM does turn 3 so that must be 5.7 degrees.

btw, brno is looking very good now and hopefully i'll have a test version or some footage soon :)

You probably have a lot of things on the go already, but why not bring some existing tracks back to 1988 & 1991 mod spec?

For Example:

MONACO: restore the wall at the swimming pool first chicane.

MAGNY-COURS: restore the right-left-right- flick after the Adelaide hairpin.

SILVERSTONE: I see you're doing a retro Silverstone, how about an 87-90 and 91 versions?

HOCKENHEIM: Restore the pre-1992 Ostkurve chicane.

MONZA: Restore the Rettifilio, and Roggia chicanes to former glory.

BARCELONA: Restore the back straight section.

An optimistic wish list, I guess, but hey, if you don't ask... ;)
