2005 Canadian Grand PrixHello and welcome to the 2005 Canadian Grand Prix. Yesterday the weather played havoc in qualifying and Toyota's Jenson Button took a surprise pole position. It's still pouring down in Montreal but how much will the weather have an effect? Let's find out.
Lap 70/70It's lights out and away we go.
Button keeps the lead through the first corner.
Lap 69/70A look at the race order after a quiet opening lap.
Lotterer has a trip across the grass and drops to the back.
Lap 67/70Lotterer makes contact with Kubica.
That causes him to spin and lose time.
Lap 65/70Maldonado makes a neat pass on Senna towards the back.
Lap 63/70At the back, there seems to be quite the train forming behind Vettel.
Jacques Villeneuve makes a move down the inside to take 14th.
Dixon also goes through but what's going on behind them?
It looks like Kovalainen tapped the back of Davidson.
Davidson was forced wide but rejoined in 17th.
Kovalainen wasn't so lucky, a spin has dropped him to the back.
Lap 61/70Massa passes Montoya for P6.
Davidson very nearly spins whilst battling Maldonado. He manages to hold it but drops a few places.
Lap 58/70It's close at the back of the field!
Why can't we have this at the front!?
Speaking of which, Button's lead is now 5 seconds over Michael Schumacher.
Lap 56/70Sato is all over the back of Barrichello.
He makes his move and moves into 9th.
Lap 54/70Raikkonen is putting real pressure on Webber for 3rd.
Lap 52/70Sato moves into the points as he dives down the inside of Alonso.
Lap 50/70Massa passes Castro-Neves for 5th having been stuck behind him for a while.
Lap 49/70Dixon and Maldonado are the first men to stop this afternoon.
Lap 48/70Sato passes his teammate for 7th.
Davidson and Dixon collide as the latter exits the pit lane!

Sato is on fire. He's now passed Castro-Neves.

Race leader Button is in for his first stop. Raikkonen and Montoya also pit for Williams and Ferrari.

Lap 36/70Race leader Schumacher is the last man to make his first stop of the afternoon. He comes out in 2nd.

Oh my word! I wasn't expecting that! Barrichello gets a tyre on the grass and spins the Renault! He drops to 9th.
Lap 5/70Apparently, no one wants 4th! Montoya slides off and drops down to 6th.
Lap 4/70This is incredible! Massa hits Webber looking to take 4th.
Webber carries on in 4th but Massa spins and drops out of the points!
Lap 0/70Jenson Button wins for the first time in his career! It's Toyota's first win since San Marino last season.
Michael Schumacher is second.
And Kimi Raikkonen rounds off a great day for Williams with 3rd.
