I dont get it. I also offered Vettel 5M, and he is my driver, we should get a discount, why have he signed with Toyota?

Yet another poor showing from us. Luck seems not to be on our side. We aren’t sure if we are racing in 2004 rather than 2005, as our results seem to be the same from last year.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Following a stream of poor results marred by reliability issues and poor performance from Juan Pablo Montoya, the team principal, Ennis Parachki has announced he will leave the team at the end of the season.

“We haven’t improved this year, I believe we have actually taken two steps back. Our car is definitely worse in terms of reliability, which I fully take responsibility for, thus it is my decision to leave the team at the end of this season. Ferrari deserve better days and I am sure whoever replaces me can bring this team back to the glory days.”, said Ferrari team principal Ennis Parachki during the post-race press conference.

That's my fault, I missed the PM. I'll get that amended this evening and update the post accordingly

Williams

An amazing day to cap off a fantastic result in Turkey for both Kimi and Michael. A well deserved performance for the team in the race!

We're also happy to welcome Nick Heidfeld who is going to be joining with us next season with Williams. There will be more to come soon.

Jordan

What an outstanding race result we've had! P5 and P6 for Nico and Heikki is a big result for Jordan and with 7 places we move up to mid-positions at the moment.

That was a very unlucky race, guess we have to move on to the next round.
We're also happy to have made our 2006 lineup with three experienced drivers in the fold!

So frustrating to see both Jordans in the points when its a tight battle at the bottom of the table, Dixon did well barring his accident a shame to just miss out on points. Would have bene interesting as well to see where JV would have finished.

We keep battling, on to the next race. Disappointing for Sato too, we certainly hope to provide him with a more reliable car next year.

Arrows Management Change

Due to inactivity of over a month, Calligaris has been removed as manager of Arrows. Ennis Parachki will be taking over alongside his duties at Ferrari.

2005 Driver changes locked

As I have a busy month at work coming up and I go on holiday in mid-September, I'll be running the remaining races over the course of the next two weeks to allow the season to finish before I go away. Due to that, there will be no more driver changes during the 2005 season. Races will still be posted weekly with the season due to end on the 8th of September.

Michael with another great quali performance to put himself on front row. Kimi seem to be a bit out of shape in 6th. We'll see how we perform.

Jordan

Great qualifying from Heikki putting his Jordan in P8. For Nico it isn't looking good news, could be a difficult race for him.

Renault

Horrible pace by both drivers, scoring some points this weekend is going to be tough

2005 Italian Grand Prix

Yesterday's qualifying session saw championship leader Michael Schumacher take pole. Can the six-time World Champion take a massive step towards number 7? Let's find out.

Lap 53/53

It's lights out and away we go.

What a start from Button! He's gone from 3rd to the lead of the race!

Alonso takes 3rd and it looks like rain is beginning to fall. This could be a cracker.

A terrible start for Sato. He's down in 10th.

Lap 52/53

A great start for Villeneuve though, he's up to 8th!

Sato drops another place as Klien goes through.

A look at the current order.

Lap 51/53

Three into one doesn't go as the two Renaults and De La Rosa collide.

Castro-Neves continues on in 20th.

De La Rosa drops to the back with Barrichello 21st.

Alonso passes Schumacher for 2nd.

A mistake from Schumacher! He drops to 8th.

Lap 50/53

Castro-Neves runs wide and spins.

Schumacher takes too much curb and loses 8th to Enge.

Raikkonen passes Montoya for 3rd.

Rosberg takes 9th from Schumacher.

Lap 49/53

Dixon passes Montoya for 4th.

Schumacher retakes 9th.

Montoya is going backward! Kovalainen is the latest to overtake him.

Now Villeneuve!

Lap 48/53

What's going on with Montoya!? Now Enge passes him.

Down the field, Webber passes Trulli for 12th.

Lap 47/53

Michael Schumacher becomes the latest man to pass Montoya.

Off goes Rosberg. He drops to 20th.

Lap 46/53

It's getting a lot wetter out there. How long till we see intermediate or wets?

Might not be too long. De La Rosa goes off.

Lap 45/53

Visible spray out there now.

Lap 44/53

A look at the current order.

Sato passes Montoya.

Button pits!

Alonso stays out.

Raikkonen, Dixon, Kovalainen, Enge, Sato, Webber, Trulli, Massa, Kubica, Vettel, Barrichello, Rosberg and De La Rosa all come into the pits.

Lap 43/53

Button eases past Sato. Those on drys need to come in pronto.

Alonso, Villeneuve, Montoya, Klien, Maldonado, Pantano and Castro-Neves pit.

Lap 41/53

A look at the order after all those stops.

Lap 40/53

Massive accident for Sato!

That's the end of his race.

Villeneuve passes his teammate for 5th.

Lap 39/53

Fernando Alonso takes the lead!

Schumacher passes Enge for 7th.

Lap 38/53

Now Webber passes Enge.

Montoya does too.

Lap 36/53

Maldonado retires with a water leak.

Schumacher passes Dixon for 6th.

Enge pits and goes onto wet tyres. He's followed in by Vettel, Barrichello and De La Rosa.

Lap 35/53

Webber dives down the inside of Dixon for 7th.

MISTAKE BY ALONSO! The race leader runs wide and somehow misses the barrier.

Lap 34/53

He drops to 3rd behind Raikkonen.

Lap 33/53

Dixon runs wide and drops to 10th.

Alonso takes 2nd from Raikkonen.

Lap 32/53

Another mistake from Dixon. He loses another place.

Lap 30/53

Alonso retakes the lead!

Villeneuve passes Kovalainen for 4th.

Lap 29/53

Raikkonen moves past Button and into 2nd.

Lap 28/53

Barrichello has a trip into the gravel and rejoins in last.

Robert Kubica retires with a transmission problem.

Raikkonen goes off! He drops to 3rd and loses a lot of time.

Lap 27/53

Montoya does the same down in 8th. He drops to 9th behind Klien.

Pantano passes Enge....by forcing him off the track. Enge drops to 16th behind Castro-Neves.

Lap 26/53

Montoya takes back 8th.

Heikki Kovalainen pits from 5th. Dixon, Trulli, Massa and Rosberg also pit.

Lap 25/53

Alonso pits from the lead. He's followed in by the most of the top 8 (Button, Raikkonen, Villenueve, Webber, Montoya, Klien).

Lap 24/53

Michael Schumacher stays out.

Trulli passes Dixon.

Enge, Castro-Neves, De La Rosa and Pantano pit.

Lap 23/53

Michael Schumacher pits. He rejoins in 5th.

Massa is the latest man to pass Dixon.

Barrichello and Vettel also pit.

Lap 21/53

Schumacher passes Villeneuve for 4th.

Lap 20/53

Here's the current order with 20 laps to go.

Trulli runs wide and drops to 12th.

Raikkonen moves down the inside of Button for 2nd.

Lap 14/53

Oh my! This could be huge in the Championship battle!

Drivers Championship leader Michael Schumacher retires with an engine failure.

Lap 12/53

Raikkonen pits.

Lap 11/53

Alonso pits from the lead and comes out 2nd behind Button. Klien, Massa and De La Rosa also pit.

Lap 10/53

Trulli runs wide and spins. He drops to 13th.

Lap 8/53

Villeneuve pits from 4th and comes out in 6th. Trulli also pits.

Lap 7/53

Alonso is right behind Button. Can he pass the Brit for a deserved win?

Never in doubt.

Lap 5/53

The order with 5 laps to go.

Lap 3/53

Raikkonen passes Button for 2nd.

Lap 2/53

Kovalainen pits! That's a massive mistake from the Jordan team. He drops from 5th to 7th.

Lap 0/53

Alonso wins the Italian Grand Prix!

Raikkonen 2nd.

Button 3rd.

From bad to worse for both the team and Sato.

Arrows

Both our drivers failed to finish because of mechanical failures, in this chaotic race, we could’ve had a better finishing position.
