We need Stephan magically appearing and saying the series is rubbish and Ruben saying it should be more dangerous. Oh and DRS, everybody loves DRS.



Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
I think the boost system that the GPGNC use works brilliantly.

I'd like to know more on the NC boost system, as to how it differs from this series.

Each team has number of rounds participated in*500 boost points. On top of that they get extra points for their championship positions of the previous seasons, according to the table below (manager bound, not nation).

1 = 100
2 = 85
3 = 75
4 = 67
5 = 60
6 = 54
7 = 49
8 = 45
9 = 41
10 = 37
11 = 33
12 = 29
13 = 26
14 = 23
15 = 20
16 = 18
17 = 16
18 = 14
19 = 13
20 = 12
21 = 11
22 = 10


So for me and team Germany this meant for the start of season 4:
17 races: 17*500=8500
3rd place in season 2: 75
1st place in season 3: 100
=> 8675 boost points.

The boost points can be spent on quali/race skill. The maximum you can spent for one weekend is 500 for each quali and race (so 1000 in total).

These are the base values for each team, bhp and cof always remain the same
Performance=850,850,1500
First Driver=1,Germany,16000,500,17000,500

Unfortunately theres always going to be some element of luck in any AI based series. But the NC boost was made such that using different levels of boost wouldn't necessarily guarentee you a great result but would likely differentiate you from someone who wasn't boosting, which it absolutely does. If you decide to max out boost for a weekend, you won't be racing people who didn't boost at all (except for incidents). With the system for building up boost, we didn't want to make a big enough gap to give anyone a massive advantage, but having an extra 100 boost here or there can make a difference. Its useful to have an incentive for people to stick around and build something up.

The system could perhaps use a little tweaking as we came up with it from a little bit of testing and seeing how it went, but I do think the NC system works well in providing an actual boost.

It's every previous season the series has had, which is currently only 3/nearly 4. Whilst it does put newcomers slightly behind, realistically having 100/200 extra boost points isn't going to change the whole season. Look at S4 of the NC, both 1st and 3rd right now are new teams. It only provides a little extra that could be helpful for one race.

But that's the point, newcomers should be at a lesser level like in any real world racing formula, it takes time to build up a winning team.

But wasn't that exactly the point of the old perf/boost system? New teams had a really hard stand there in their first season, and often enough barely found drivers to drive for them. And no personal attack, Nathan, but you were one of those complaining about this condition.

Also, not saying that this can't be done for the GPGSL, I just want to mention that this boost system complicates things a lot, both for the drivers but especially for us perf guys. And seeing that it reverses the boost attribution again, by giving more boost to better teams, it'll increase the gap again over time. So I feel that this is just once again a solution with a temporarily good effect for those who are now disappointed that they fell back a little, but that it will cause more frustration again when time progresses.

No, I complained that there was no opportunity to get a decent result with the old system, it's not like I was complaining cause we weren't winning, I was complaining because we were finishing 21 & 22 every week. All I asked for was to have the opportunity to fight in the midfield a few times. I remember being over the moon when my team got 6th & 7th place one race. With the GPGNC that is possible.

Exatcly!! De Bruyker only get one lap??? Please, on next time, show for all of us that drivers had the same chances on qualifying (2 laps), like GPGSL-3 make with pit stops (2 stops on full race)!!

No, Stu, we didn't discuss BHPs. We know that it's not guarantee of good results on races.

Specially for me and Marcus, we are so disappointed because on qualifying each driver gets two fast laps, and De Bruyker only was showed one time. So, on my position of One Racing manager, of course that I want what happened.

My ask for GPGSL members is: shows, on screenshots, all of drivers laps (taking screenshots aren't more difficult than making videos). It will put doubts from zero. Like I made with full races on GPGSL-3: each driver needs to be two pit stops, and I show, on videos, all of stops. I didn't put none of doubt for drivers.

So simple!!

Remember: it's an ask for next qualifyings!! I hope you understand that this is a request to further improve the championship.

In GPGSL-3 many people acted similar and I was never sulky. On the contrary, always I heard everyone to try, even as a hobby for all of us, to have nothing wrong.

As I explained: if the driver has two tries in qualifying, they shall be shown on screenshots.

Now, speaking bad of One Racing is easy when it runs by teams that historically have always good BHPs (Aston Martin, Shadow, MPR, SCR...). AMR won four championships in a row and no one ever said anything.

What's the problem that One Racing leads WDC and WCC? :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

About race: despite this confusion, I believe in the recovery of our drivers!

And to close the subject: as I said to Stuart, I proposed a suggestion. About who wins or who loses, if the BHP worked or not, that's part of league since the first season! :)

Marcus and you didn't improve your lap times, that's why there are no screenshots of your second runs which is very understandable.

With qualifying lasting 30 minutes and the correct settings with GPxPatch it's for 100% guaranteed that everyone is making 2 hot laps.
