Yep, the first part, the "Big Loop"-section, and the s/f straight which is now almost 1.5 km long.

GPGSL Rd 8 European GP - Race Day

Part 2

Welcome back.

O’Brien looks to have closed in more on Keranen.

Jalving is still in battle with Kittleson.

Pedersen has found himself facing the wrong way at the chicane.

From what the replay shows, it seems Horvath was trying for a move on the MAC driver.

But he wasn’t far enough up the inside to make the move cleanly, and ended up hitting Pedersen, causing both drivers to spin and end up facing the wrong way. As Legge goes on through, it shows just how close the TNR is to potentially being collected by another car.

Fortunately, both drivers manage to get going again.

As we ride onboard with Greenhalgh, let’s check out the current standings.

Kederer is doing the best he can to try and get himself up into the top 10.

Warrington has gone off the road once again.

Replay shows that he went off all on his own.

Warrington gets going again.

The pitlane is starting to get into active mode as the first few cars come in for a stop.

Oh no, Gilson has gone off to the infield. He was running inside the top 5, so he must have a terminal problem.

Another Puncture related problem sees the reigning champion retire from the race. He’ll be disappointed with this for sure.

Now the pitlane is really getting busy.

Ancevski has managed to get ahead of Greenhalgh in the pits.

De Bruyker takes the fastest lap.

O’Brien has managed to get ahead of Keranen during the pitstop.

What has happened to Kederer’s Shadow? The tyres are indeed there, but they seem to be glitched out.

After a quick fix, the tyres are now back.

De Bruyker is in for his stop.

Pedersen is also in.

Thomas now holds the fastest lap.

Pedersen now needs to be careful as Thomas is right on the back of him.

As the timing shows that O’Brien now has the fastest lap, Thomas is going for a move up the inside of Pedersen into the chicane.

The Demon driver couldn’t get by so ends up staying behind the MAC. Meanwhile, Keranen now has the fastest time.

Ancevski is enjoying himself out in the lead.

With everyone now having pitted, let’s take a look at the current standings.

Ancevski now has the fastest lap.

There’s a battle shaping up between Rodriguez and Moinet.

It’s much closer between the two than what the split shows.

Warrington now takes the fastest lap.

Something strange has just happened to Rodriguez as he has lost a position to both Moinet and Copeman.

This explains what happened. Rodriguez got onto the grass, which unsettled him allowing the JHR and MAC to get by.

O’Brien is really using the speed of his SCR to his advantage as he once again takes the fastest lap.

Kederer is now in a good position to take on Rodriguez.

Despite having run off the road earlier, Nell is once again back up to 13th.

Compared to how his teammate is currently going, Horvath just doesn’t have the same sort of pace to get through the field.

Ancevski again takes the fastest lap.

O’Brien goes quicker still.

But is denied by Keranen.

It’s on between Maverick and O’Brien for the final podium position.

Meanwhile, Ancevski takes the fastest lap again.

Which then gets beaten by Keranen.

Now Moinet gets the fastest lap.

Jalving is still trying his best to get closer to the back of Kittleson’s Greidanus.

As Warrington once again takes the fastest lap, the timing shows that a yellow flag is out.

It’s Pedersen, who looks to have gone off the road all on his own.

At least he gets to continue on.

Kederer now takes the fastest lap again.

Ancevski seems unstoppable at the current time.

With the speed being shown from O’Brien’s SCR, it seems to be looking more likely that Maverick may be struggling to keep the fast charging SCR behind him, which in turn is allowing Greenhalgh to pull further ahead and Keranen behind to close in.

Time once again for a break. We hope to be back again soon.

Engineer: You're doing good so far. We have speed to burn, but probably will need more luck on our side if we are to get any further up the field.
O'Brien: That's good to hear. I seem to be getting held up by Maverick ahead of me. I'm worried it might allow Keranen behind me to close in and cause me even more problems.
Engineer: Don't worry too much about what's behind you and focus on what's ahead of you. If you can clear Maverick before it gets too late, you may still have a chance to close in on Greenhalgh before the end of the race.
O'Brien: Alright then, I'll try and make my move when the opportunity allows it. After all, I'm in a good position and I don't want to give it up too easily. Also, what was the problem with Gilson's car? I saw it off the side of the road earlier but couldn't work out what was wrong? It could end up affecting me if I'm not lucky enough.
Engineer: It was a Puncture that brought his race to an end. Like we said before, don't worry too much about things and just focus on what's ahead of you.

Very interesting race so far. I'm surprised I've managed to get up to where I am despite having started in 11th. Guess my aim is to try and make the podium. After all, Gilson was looking good for that result, but that Puncture took it away from him, which means I'm the only hope for bringing home points for the team.

Disappointing to lose the lead - looks like the pace in the drying conditions isn't as good either...

Nice try ;-). You should know that if I stay another season I'll have my perfs reset, as apparently rookies have a higher chance of winning anything in this random mess.
