That track dried out just at the right moment. I wonder whether all cars went out on slicks or not, it's a bit difficult to see.

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
20 seconds behind everyone at the back, get 2 fastest laps. Righto.

Reminds me just a little of the S7 race at the Nurburgring...rain always throws something crazy up in the world of GP4.

I seem to making a few tentative steps forward, but I'm just longing for the day where I qualify well and have a nice, clean race. Ah well...it's all good fun...

WTF???? I post just after the Testers qualify (I had the best time, btw...)

Why do i have to post rubbish every two weeks if the round is still the same????
I can't agree with this. If it was another round OK, but this way, no...

GPGSL Rd 8 European GP - Race Day

Part 3

Welcome back.

We go onboard with Keranen as the timing shows that Ancevski now has the fastest lap. We also can see the distance needed for the TNR driver to catch the back of O’Brien.

Moinet takes it away.

Now the distance between O’Brien and Keranen is much closer.

Ancevski takes the fastest lap again.

But loses it again to Moinet.

Ancevski will need to be careful while attempting to lap the backmarkers.

Pedersen is once again off the track.

Replay shows that he went off on his own.

He manages to continue on. Also, here are the current standings.

The race leader is in the pits. Looks like Ancevski short filled in the previous stop which is why he was able to get ahead of Greenhalgh.

Warrington is in as well.

Greenhalgh takes over the lead once again.

Keranen, Moinet and O’Brien are all in as well.

O’Brien has managed to keep his position ahead of Keranen.

However, it’s the TNR driver who has lost out as he has lost at least three positions after rejoining.

Jalving is attempting a move up the inside of Kittleson into the chicane.

But no, there’s been contact made, and the Greidanus is now facing the wrong way. It also leaves Jalving under pressure from the cars behind.

Replay shows that Jalving hadn’t gotten far enough up the inside of the Greidanus, which led to the contact being made.

Kittleson gets going again.

De Bruyker finds himself in 10th.

However, Moinet will want to take that position away.

As Maverick and Ancevski fight over 2nd position, we have a yellow flag yet again.

This looks to be the reason for it.

The Shadow driver goes for his move.

And takes 2nd position away from Maverick.

Rodriguez is up to 4th, but with O’Brien behind him it’ll be interesting to see how he copes in holding back the SCR.

It looks like smoke is pouring from the back of Copeman’s MAC.

Copeman pulls off to the side and is now out of the race due to a Water Leak.

Pedersen is off the track yet again.

Ancevski takes the fastest lap.

Warrington takes it away from the Shadow driver.

Unseen by the cameras, O’Brien has managed to get by Rodriguez. Also unseen was Moinet taking the position away from De Bruyker.

Pedersen is still stuck in the sand, and now his engine has blown on top of that.

As if things couldn’t get worse, Kittleson is now off in the sand.

O’Brien once again takes the fastest lap.

Time to check out the current standings as we focus in on O’Brien.

Moinet has finally managed to get closer to the back of Keranen’s TNR.

Finally, Pedersen’s stricken MAC is pushed out of the way by the marshal.

Keranen is right on the back of Nell.

Kederer now wants his chance to get by De Bruyker.

Keranen has a look up the inside of Nell.

However, Nell manages to stay ahead.

Ancevski takes the fastest lap.

De Bruyker is off the road.

As the replay shows, it would seem Kederer ended up hitting the rear of the One, causing himself to spin and face the wrong way, and leaving De Bruyker off the track.

Both drivers manage to continue on.

It’s still on between Nell and Keranen.

The timing shows how the current top 10 have moved since race start.

O’Brien again takes the fastest lap.

Warrington comes out of the pits having taken a stop. Not sure though if it’s due to a problem or due to low fuel.

Nell’s off the road.

So too is De Bruyker.

With two of the championship contenders now out of the race, Maverick is in a good position to take advantage.

Now Ancevski is off.

We have a tense battle for the final position in the top 10.

The hard work Legge has put in to get himself back up into the top 10 looks to have paid off.

That looks too close between McCarthy and Thomas.

Contact is made, sending the JHR off the track, and leaving the Demon facing the wrong way.

Kederer got a good view of what happened.

Both drivers are lucky enough to be able to continue on.

Not long to go now for Greenhalgh.

With Maverick in 2nd, he’ll be happy knowing that his closest rivals will be leaving this round empty handed.

McCarthy’s eventful race finally comes to an end with smoke and fire billowing out from the rear of his JHR.

Greenhalgh has controlled this race since the start. He lost the lead after the early stops, then retook it after Ancevski had to make a second stop. He takes the final corner for the last time.

And takes the chequered flag to win the European GP.

Maverick takes 2nd.

O’Brien takes the final podium position.

There we have it. The race has finally come to an end, and what a race it was indeed. Congratulations Ed Greenhalgh and MPR, the winner of Rd 8. With Maverick finishing in 2nd, and with Elleker, Nell and De Bruyker all retiring from the race, it’s going to make the championship picture quite interesting indeed. Anyways, that’s all the coverage we can bring you from Donington. We hope you enjoyed our coverage, and we hope to see you all back here again next time when we bring you the coverage of Rd 9. This is GPGTV.Org/Farked, signing out. Goodbye.
