The race is worst that the practice... How bad can this go???

-----------------------------------------------------

Suppose it was my own fault for going in on Copeman but come on - I never seem to get two decent sessions one after the other any more >>; can we go back to Season 5 please?

The A1-Ring proves once again a lot of drama. It's time to replace the A1-Ring for the mighty Österreichring.

I agree.

In lap 6, I was hunting Maverick who was on 6th place... and then suddenly I see myself driving on 11th place in lap 8... how can that be, what happened ???

Did I go off the track, did I had some problems with the car ???

And now in lap 23 after 1 stop, I'm in 6th place... what a strange race !

Can I ask for this, too? Or will some member be stressed???

GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
We can't all be winners. However, once again the boost system has proved to be useless and quite possibly a waste of time for the GPGSL to process. I'm all for dumping the system all together. Those cans of Woop Ass are a total rip-off and an uneccesary expense.

The only expense knocking around is the sense of entitlement that using one brings about i.e. Use boost = better race results.

Not saying you're wrong though, I completely agree - I haven't even used one yet, such is their 'usefulness'.

GPGSL Rd 7 Austrian GP - Race Day

Part 4

We’re back again.

Ancevski has got De Bruyker right on his tail.

Legge is in 10th, but will need to be cautious of the cars behind him who will want to take the position from him.

O’Brien goes for a move up the inside of Copeman. Also, McCarthy has come in for his scheduled stop.

Gilson was able to take advantage of Copeman running wide after O’Brien made his move, and is now on the back of his teammate.

He tries for a move up the inside, but O’Brien manages to hold onto his position.

He has another go at making a move.

And this time he manages to get ahead.

Now Copeman has a chance to get back at O’Brien for the move from earlier.

Let’s check out the standings as we go onboard with Kederer.

Greenhalgh looks to be in some trouble.

As the replay shows, it seems that he lost the rear of the car resulting in the MPR spinning out.

However, the onboard view shows that he ran wide, and with no grip out there it’s no wonder Greenhalgh ended up spinning out.

He manages to get going again, but will need to watch out for his teammate.

Maverick still leads, but the split shows that Kederer has gained time on him.

Ancevski has lost his position to De Bruyker.

Now he has the Demon to be cautious of.

Horvath is currently sitting in 15th.

Kederer has gained time on Maverick again.

With De Bruyker in 5th, it should be good for his championship should he manage to stay there till the end.

This is not what MPR would be wanting to see.

Another lap, and Kederer has managed to gain time on Maverick again.

Thomas decides to try for a move on Ancevski, and the Demon succeeds in getting by.

Not again! Another car is off, and this time it’s Maverick.

As the replay shows, he locks up slightly and end ups running wide and out into the sand.

Now he is forced to wait for his chance to rejoin the track.

As a result of Maverick running off the track, Kederer now has the race lead.

However, he will need to watch out for Pedersen, who is closing in on him.

Maverick managed to get back ontrack, but now sits in 9th.

Oh no, Nell is facing the wrong way. What has happened?

As the replay shows, Nell went for a move on Ancevski.

But it doesn’t work out for the Demon driver, who ended up making contact resulting in a broken front wing for the Shadow and leaving the Demon facing the wrong way.

Nell manages to recover and gets going again.

Ancevski also gets going again, but his chance at scoring points in his first race as a racer are now gone as he will need to pit for repairs.

Legge and Gilson are in a battle for the final places inside the top 10.

Ancevski finally makes it back to the pits.

Jalving has managed to get by Greenhalgh.

As we head into the final laps of this race, let’s check out the standings again.

Ancevski is going to be in danger of going a lap down should Kederer get closer.

4 laps left to go.

As we focus in on Maverick, the timing shows how the top 10 have moved since race start.

It’s still on between Legge and Gilson.

Meanwhile, the other Snake of Sanvitale is in a battle with Kittleson.

He tries for a move down the inside.

But he isn’t close enough yet, and has to stay behind. Meanwhile, Horvath has managed to close in on the battle.

He tries again down the straight.

And this time gets the move done at turn 1.

Now Horvath wants his chance to get by the Greidanus.

And he manages to make his move stick.

Next driver in line to potentially get by Kittleson is Jalving.

Kederer has increased his lead over Pedersen.

No idea what Ancevski is thinking, but he shouldn’t be trying for a move on anyone when he is a lap down.

Keranen is the only rookie left to currently sit inside the points.

Unseen by the cameras, Kittleson has lost a few more positions since we last saw him.

Kederer comes across the line and wins the Austrian GP.

Pedersen finishes in 2nd.

And Rodriguez rounds out the podium in 3rd.

Oh no, Keranen has been forced to come in on the final lap. We’re hearing it’s a Throttle Failure. Such a shame too.

Finally, after a long and tiring day, the race comes to an end. Congratulations goes to Tobias Kederer and Team Shadow, the winner of Rd 7. We were not expecting to see the Shadow driver take the top step of the podium based on the pace of the other cars, but he managed to keep the car on the track, and was able to take advantage as everyone fell by the wayside. We should also give both Ancevski and Keranen a hand, who were running so well before they were struck with problems of their own (contact from another car for Ancevski, Throttle Failure for Keranen). Well then, that ends our coverage of Rd 7. We hope you enjoyed every minute of it, and we hope to see you all back here again for Rd 8, which will be held at Donington Park. This is GPGTV.Org/Farked, signing out from the A1 Ring.

YES YES!! So happy with 2nd! Had a car that could have won the race but finishing 2nd after starting 13th. =P ZUPER happy!
Happy to be in the points and have made a few overtakes. Sad to see Seb having double bad luck.
Woho go team shadow!
Wow though really unlucky for milos not to score on his debut
that's ******
So I'm guessing I lose all positions because the game can't handle cars in the pits on the final lap of a shortened race.
Sure has taken the shine off a good weekend.
