Just ignore the terrible music in the background of this video. ;)

Should it work with gp4forever game mods?

Using mods is difficult. Maybe someone else can help you further.

Hmm, how about using CSM mod to extract helmets, that would be awesome.

Well for some reason, i installed it good, and yeah if i prompted to run Easywad as adminstrator, not working as actually. So why is due to my setup, my PC is old?

I think the problem is my Easywad having trouble with gp4lib.dll, does somebody have fresh gp4lib.dll that might run easywad and i can extract helmets and all?

Easy Wad is nice & very easy as I just copy & paste
what I want into the wad
but I did have to smile when I clicked help as I was just curious
& it said
"Nope Your On Your Own" :-)

PS: I should add that for what ever reason using EasyWad or WadUpdater 3.4 I have never been
successful updating individual cars :(
I open the car wad....copy & paste new files & wad is bigger in size...But in sim same old car etc.

When I update pitcrew in Anim wad I end up with crews in wrong places etc.

Will play with it more...

maybe you should try the helmet installer. With this tool you can extract helmets from the cars wad and you can use it for extended helmet sets, to replace the helmets in the cars wad. Furthermore you can create an installer file for helmet sets and some more interesting things

Umm, for the easywad, the gp4lib.dll appears to have problem with it, do anyone have fresh gp4lib.dll that might work easywad cars.wad and can install helmets and everything.

There is no problem with gp4lib.dll. Reinstall ZaZ Tools and try again.

Do I have to associate it first or do i have to right-click on cars.wad to open Easywad?

EDIT: TomMK, I got a message error and it says Illegal switch C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4\cars.wad. What does that mean?

EDIT 2: Well for associating wads, double-clicking cars.wad, and it appears this:

Host: GP4LIB 0.8.108
Caller: GP4LIB
Procedure: frmMain::Form=>Load
Date: 15.7.2014.

Are you on Vista ? If so, maybe an issue with administrative rights.

Hi
I am not sure it is the same but at one time on Windows 7 I was getting the same
Illegal switch error

I searched this forum & found this suggestion

"the 'open with' option in windows seems to overrule easywad. you can delete it like this
goto
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.wad
and delete the .wad folder"

I did that & EasyWad worked ever since
( of course using regedit is up to you as it can be dangerous
editing your windows registry if your not familiar with it)

Easywad should already be associated & showing its own icon on all your wad files if you already checked
associate when you 1st started easywad the 1st time.

Lastly you may know this already ( I didn't ) but once associated you will never
click easy wad again as a stand alone just the wads because they are already now associated
& when clicked will open in Easywad

Good Luck

Initially I was very unsuccessful with any Zaz tools like EasyWad & CSM

What I did was copy a fresh GP4 folder already patched,GPx & nocd already in

Then I deleted the whole Zaz deal & put a fresh one on of that too.
all has been fine ever since :)

You might try just the Zaz tool delete & start again & see.
If that does not work you can try what i did & start with a fresh GP4

I never really install any of these things ( GP4 or Zaz etc. )
I just copy it to my C:\Program Files (x86) as folders
Works fine with a Gpx or CSM shortcut on the desktop

Good Luck & no worries I thought it was hopeless too
But all is fine now & they are useful things to have with GP4

PS: I downloaded the repackaged version of ZaZ Tools from Tom's site
[www.gp4central.com]

So you have to unistall GP4 first then reinstall it, this is why is called fresh GP4 install. Is it called Tom like GP4 Central.
