Race Day - Part Three

Jalving and Maverick are next to pit.

Jalving 14th, Maverick 16th.

Gilson now bothers Jalving.

Scala makes a slight mistake.

Maverick locks up as Greenhalgh dives down the inside.

He just manages not to take to the kitty litter.

But is passed by Schieder too.

Edwards leaves the pits in last position.

2nd placed Moinet makes his stop and rejoins in 4th.

Elleker leads from Scala, Kederer, Moinet and Jalving.

Gilson 6th, Greenhalgh 7th, Legge 8th, Schieder 9th and Maverick 10th.

McCarthy has an off at turn 1.

Elleker makes his pitstop from the lead. Rejoins in 6th.

25 laps, let's see the standings.

Legge is proving to be a bottleneck again.

Maverick seems to have retaken Schieder somewhere.

But Schieder is fighting back.

But he fails to take Maverick.

Legge is doing well considering the problems he's having in that Demon.

Maverick dives past Legge, but they both lock up.

Disaster for both drivers as they both spin off. Neither touches the other though.

Both return to the tarmac. Maverick down in 20th.

Maverick has a lot of work to do to catch Gilson who has stopped for a second time.

Elleker doesn't seem to have the same problems with handling as Maverick does.

Time for yet another break.

Good lord, my conversion rate is just terrible...I slide back in races, and then end up having needless incidents. Sorry John, that's my fault again.

My GPGSL Career
Interesting race so far. Shame that Gilson had that loose wheel. If anything, that may end up costing him the championship lead, especially seeing how the battles at the front seem to be having different leaders. All that's left now is to see who can hold on for the win.

Sorry guys, fatigue has caught up with me. I will post the final part tomorrow, maybe in the morning. It's worth the wait I promise ;)

So far it's a terrible race for the One's... maybe they can get a rabbit out of the helmet and put it in the engine to gain some places in the final part !!!!

Race Day - Part Four

Scala still leads.

Kederer 2nd.

Moinet is close behind in 3rd.

Moinet goes for 2nd place.

And takes the position.

Jalving 4th and Elleker 5th.

Greidanus and Somogyi still fighting it out.

The pitstops seem to have spread the field out somewhat.

Horváth now in the points from the last row of the grid.

Lap 35

Greidanus is not having a very good afternoon, thats another off for the Dutchman.

Scala starts another lap, seems no-one can touch him today.

Hang on! It looks like Moinet is catching the Italian.

Yep! This isn't over yet!

Maverick still down in 20th.

Seems to be a JHR looming large in Scla's mirrors.

Moinet is going for the lead of the race!

And he has taken it! We have a new leader!

The question now is, can Scala fight back or even hold on to 2nd from Kederer.

Moinet has made up 8 places to take the lead, but Rodríguez has quietly moved up 10, unseen by the cameras.

Horváth makes a very late pitstop due to a brake problem.

3 laps remaining and it looks like Moinet has snatched the win.

The sector time suggests he is pulling away from Scala.

Greidanus again has a problem.

A look at the battle for 2nd and Jalving has passed Kederer for 3rd.

Horváth makes good use of his new tyres with fastest lap.

Final lap.

Jalving is going for 2nd as Elleker tries to take 4th.

This is looking tight.

Both drivers move up a position.

Elleker now looks for a way round Scala.

Horváth takes yet another fastest lap as Moinet heads to the chequered flag.

Eric Moinet wins the South African Grand Prix!

Charrel Jalving 2nd.

Matteo Scala manages to hang on to 3rd.

Jack Elleker 4th.

Tobias Kederer 5th.

Congratulations to Eric Moinet and JHR on their respective debut wins.

Official results to follow later.

Now that's what I call a finish. Congratulations Eric and JHR. You both deserve this victory.

What a race! Thanks Stu!

Slightly gutted for Tobi to not go home with any silver-ware after a tremendous drive from him. Obviously his tyres couldn't hang on at the end after an early stop. A fifth place is still very strong however when you think of our performances last season.

Terrible race for Ruben, not sure what to say about it or how to pin point it... Looking concerning for the ready of the season.

I think my time has come at TSM, what a disastrous race.

My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
Hell yeah P2 comming from the midfield!! For sure this is one of the strongest races of my career.. I have overtaken about 7 cars on a dry track, luckely the team had taken Ed at the right moment in so I had 2 clear laps in front of me. Great strategy, the pace was just amazing.

Also a great bunch of points for the team again, its looking good :-)

A decent little points haul for the team

3rd is good, yet it's a disappointing finish for us. Congrats Eric, you clearly were the strongest there :)

My GPGSL Career
A pretty average race for us at Demon. Not exactly unexpected though. Lets just move on to the next event, shall we......

Can't be happy about 5th, a podium finish was the minimum target today. Double boost didn't pay off again, unfortunately.

Solid points haul, but a pity that the pace dropped away a bit during the race.

Terrible race for me, I'm surprised that I didn't finish last. At least Carlos managed to safe some face for the team by at least getting some points.

But congratz to Eric and Jack for their first win, the race up front was very exciting

Congratulations to Eric and Jack, well deserved and hard win. :-)

A terrible race for us, the pace was not good at all and I was really lucky to floor the thing as hard as I could and not get into trouble. We knew it was going to be hard this year, but this is just round 4. Better things will surely happen.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
Terrible, just terrible. Team and driver boost wasted. I don't what happened. The pace was really good at the start of the race, but the longer it took, the worse it got. Mixed with a personal mistake and there was the disaster. I'm so sorry for the team and also this means that I fully lost ground on the championship leaders. I won't give up this early in the season, but it's going to be very tough this season. I actually wouldn't be surprised if we would have to cancel our championship hopes rather early this season.
At least Jack had a brilliant drive there. Pity that he couldn't snatch a podium. But he surely rescued the team's honor today when I failed miserably. Sorry to the boss and the team.

Eric Moinet you beautiful son of bitch!

Great drive mate fully deserved, shame Gareth couldn't be there to enjoy it with us but regardless the drinks are on me ;-)

Maybe we can afford to stick some sponsors on the car now ;)
