GPGSL S9 R13 - Austrian GP - A-1 Ring [Race online p205!]

With no boost this round, probably not too surprising to see the two Demon machines way down the order..... oh well.

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
Superb job on the logos!!! They look bloody fantastic. I agree Team Shadow are a little more corporate nowadays so not sure the bosses at Mercedes would support the promotions of 'Graffiti-style' typeface ;-)

Re the practise session - Yet again Dan and Dean getting up at the front. They seem to have a very competitive relationship thats really helping them both out this season. They're looking very good to continue strong seasons

I will post the yellow flag incident later this evening.

Refering to the logos, it might be a good idea for each of the team owners to create a seperate account for 'official team announcements' and use the logos as avatars :)

Before we jump on this, what would be the status regarding activity checks and Team Accounts?

Not a very good fp for us :/

My GPGSL Career
Woops...missed the activity deadline, but I got my boost in (I think) so look out the rest of the grid - to make up for it the red mist will descend and anyone in my way will get shunted into the barrier!!!
Below average FP, we need to qualify better...

Well done Daniel and Dean, hope that Ruben and I can make use of the collected data in qualifying.

@Nathan: team logos look great. I like the graffiti style, but the two S on the Shadow logo are a bit confusing seeing that Subaru no longer supplies the engine ;).

that was kinda slow, wasn't it? Well, first time Kyalami for me, can't say I'm surprised.
With a lack of boost we can't be to upset about that result.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
That'll do very nicely - 2 top 5 finishes in 4 races. Top stuff from Dan too - hell, it's the same story for both of us (2 top 5's in 4 races, I mean) XD

Had a quick calculation of the title race in the testers...I might be wrong, but I've calculated that I'm joint 2nd with Mal (I'd be ranked 2nd - both of us have a 2nd place, Mal's next best result is 5th compared to this 4th place), and Dan is joint 4th with Rico (Rico would be 4th given his win compared to Dan's 3rd in Japan). Top play to Chris Hinz too, who is 5 points clear.

Hinz 32
Kittleson 27
Stoddart 27
van Smirren 25
Thomas 25

If this is true, that means I would drop from 2nd down to about 6th or 7th. Which makes it that much bitter for me due to my result.

It is true, you're 6th now with 22pts, 1 point ahead of Gigi

Whooooa! Awesome job Marc and Rico! Perfect result which makes us confident for a great race. :-)

And what an outstanding job you did Nathan. I'd love to see them on P1 next to the gridcars pics.

Oh deer. 13th. Looks like for the next few races we'll need to discuss a boost strategy.
Finally TWO great results for ONE !!!

I love the Kyalami circuit and boost was effective !

Great fight against my teammate... thx Rico and congra with your second place... we made TWO "ONE" BULSEYE'S !

Hopefully our season kicks off from here. ;)

@Tom, I think that maybe both accounts would count as a post by the team owners. Just thought it would add something a little different to the series, but it would cause more work for the activity checks.

As promised, the incident in FP yesterday was initially caused by Christopher Hinz running wide and spinning.

He then went into a nasty looking roll across the track taking Greg O'Brien's nose off his SCR.

The whole nose off O'Brien's car is totally destroyed, but he is able to limp back to the pits for repairs.

Rico van Smirren collects debris on the track and damages his front wing. Losing traction in the hairpin he runs wide and slams into the wall.

Hinz's car is righted and returns to the pits.
