So there is going to be no feature race?

There will be, but it won't count towards the test standings.

All because of the trialled qualifying?

Seems a little unfair point in giving out points for the feature race when qualifying was so different to how things are normally done.

Very nice video, thank you for that Dean :)

I however stand by my point that I don't like a qualify where 2 groups are formed based on a previous result. I do however like that we have tried it for once! (Despite my early criticism I was never against trialing it).
The idea is pretty good, however I would consider more to random divide the groups 'out of the hat', and to let more people from Q1 through, let's say Q1 consists of 14 drivers, and 4 advance - Q2 consist of the other 8 + the 4. However the 'random' could always just be bad luck for a lot of people, however it's just an idea ....

Other then that my personal favor would probably go to a system just like F1, simple knockout.

I do like the result for the Snake drivers though! Hopefully qualifying will be even better :) For myself, i hope Rico didn't close the gap in the TDC too much so I can secure my 2nd place in the last race! :)

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

Spot on! I need all the help i can possibly get, to grab some decent points - which was probably never going to happen at this event, regardless of how qualy was run! ;)

As Maikel correctly pointed out, it's great that we actually trialled a new system for once so that people can give feedback before a full roll out. There's no reason dismiss all of Dean's work on the qualifying and race by now saying this race won't count towards the championship. The test series SHOULD be used to trial new systems.

Lets remember how much time it takes to put all of this together, guys. Show a bit of appreciation ;-)

I don't mind, to be honest. I'll happily run an NC feature race for the testers (but after the main series quali and race - gives people time to sort out the perfs and mod for the final round).

Also, the qualifying video was deleted and I've got no way of getting it back anymore. :(

I like the idea of a random draw for that qualifying method (plus the idea of 8+4 rather than 10+2). It's something that could be discussed at the end of the season :)

If any sort of knockout is to be used, i say go with the current F1 system. That is about as fair, and straight forward as it can get. And it doesn't get much simpler really - go fast, or go to the garage.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
To clarify what's happening for Round 16:

Stage 1: Qualifying - Race Drivers
Stage 2: Race - Race Drivers
Stage 3: Non-Championship Race (based on the trial qualifying format grid) - Test Drivers

I wouldn't mind doing them similar to this style next season. This way it'd be way easier to make them, especially the standings tables ;)

I think we should be happy that it was deleted, so no one can watch One's failure ;)
