Awesome 3 times in a row! I think this shows how good and popular these series are!

As far as I can see I qualified in 5th, a podium should be possible from there, maybe more!

Good to see that everyone is active. Just out of curiousity, what is the record of inactive drivers ever seen?

so, my part to have the series continue, is done. Or after the race :-p
C'mon, everyone post now, so we can continue this.
Probably something like 4 or 5, I seem to remember there being a good few missing near the end of season 5.

Race Day - Part One

Welcome to Montreal race fans. After another long delay due to those pesky rodents, we are now ready to get this show on the road.

Matteo Scala lines up on pole for Minardi.

Monil Santilal brings up rear in his MAC.

And they are off!

Scala takes an early lead followed by AMR pair Greenhalgh and Maverick. Edwards dives to the inside of Maverick.

As they leave the first few corners, Edwards can be seen in 3rd.

1 Scala, 2 Grenhalgh, 3 Edwards, 4 Maverick, 5 Jalving, 6 Kederer, 7 Pedersen.

Gilson locks up into the chicane.

The field is getting strung out already.

Maverick defends his 4th from Jalving.

The first three seem to be pulling away from Maverick.

Naturally, Scala takes the fastest lap.

Van Renselaar passes Pedersen for 7th.

Standings as we begin the second lap.

Gilson locks up and tags Legge from behind.

With a little grass cutting, both make the harpin.

Scala takes fastest lap again.

Steer seems to be becoming a mobile road block.

Edwards is beginning to put pressure on Greenhalgh.

In fact Greenhalgh feels the need to defend his position from the TNR man.

Yet another fastest lap for Scala.

Edwards definitely getting racy.

2nd and 3rd very close now.

Maverick meanwhile seems to have pulled a little gap to Jalving.

Edawrds is really piling on the pressure now. Will Greenhalgh tighter line into the chicane delay him on the pit straight?

Edwards takes 2nd place!

Maverick and Jalving are much closer too.

Can Greenhalgh hang on to Edwards shirt tails?

Steer seems to have got over his slow start and passes Legge for 10th.

Scala showing a turn of speed that many didn't know he had.

Pederson flat spots his fronts braking for the hairpin.

Edwards has got some time to make up on the leader.

Gilson manages to keep control as he slides by Legge to take 11th.

25 laps to go.

Horváth now finds himself tucked up behind Legge.

Greenhalgh losing touch with Edwards.

Edwards now nearly 4 seconds down on leader Scala.

Elleker can't be happy with 20th place surely?

Its looking close further down the field.

Legge has slipped back even further, losing places to Horváth and Greidanus. Here he desparately defends from Rodríguez.

As we enter the first ad break, Scala seems to be in a class of his own.

Stay tuned for part two.

Race Day - Part Two

Rodríguez overtakes Legge.

Jalving still keeping Maverick honest.

20 laps to go.

Edwards is the first to pit.

Rejoins in 13th place.

Legge must be unhappy with the setup of his car as he steers in the opposite direction to the corner.

The leader pits for new tyres.

Rejoins the fray in 6th.

Jalving is next to stop.

Closely followed by Kederer.

Jalving emerges from the pits in 12th.

Kederer in 15th.

This puts Edwards in 10th.

This all leaves the AMRs in 1st and 2nd.

Kederer collides with van Renselaar as the Dutchman leaves the pitlane.

Van renselaar survives his brush with the wall.

Pedersen now up to 3rd place.

He gets the call from his team to pit.

As he leaves the pits, Kederer claims his second victim.

But this time Pedersen isn't as lucky as van Renselaar and loses a wheel on the wall.

Greenhalgh pits from the lead.

Just makes it out in front of Jalving. The Aston's have lost time staying out longer.

Edwards now in 4th.

Scala in 3rd.

Maverick in 1st, yet to stop.

He makes his stop on the next lap.

As we thought, the Aston's have lost out in the pitstops as Maverick emerges in 5th behind Jalving.

With all the pitstops completed, lets look at the positions.

Edwards is still losing time to Scala. No sign of the predicted crash by the leader. Not so far.

Jake Legge is having a nightmare of an afternoon, now in 19th.

Legge makes a mistake.

Santilal looks to take advantage.

But Legge hangs on to 19th.

Greenhalgh is catching Edwards, but is there enough time left?

Maverick goes for 4th.

He takes the position from Jalving.

Looks like Scala has got this race won, barring accidents.

Maverick is pulling away from Jalving quite rapidly.

Lets take another break, stay tuned for part three.

Poor as usual so far, hope I can do better when I start testing

Good pitstop strategy, to bad I just got overtaken! 5th place is good points, but I hope for more!

Race Day - Part Three

Is there time for Greenhalgh to catch Edwards, this is going to be interesting!

Steer shoves van Renselaar off the track.

He's lucky he only lost one position.

10 laps to go.

Horváth is passed by Rodríguez.

Rodríguez has been quietly making up places since the pitstops.

Scala still leads.

Maybe the gap is too great for Greenhalgh to catch Edwards in time.

Rodríguez grabs another place as he overtakes Spencer. Now in 10th.

However, Horváth also passes Spencer. Has he got a problem with his car?

Now in 14th as Greidanus and Hunsley slip past. The team are reporting he has an oil leak.

There it goes! Looks like we have our second retirement this afternoon.

Spencer pulls off to retire.

5 laps to go.

Greenhalgh is right behind Edwards now.

Kederer slams the door shut on Steer.

Santilal finally takes Legge after many laps trying.

Greenhalgh is lining up a move on Edwards.

And takes 2nd place.

Steer tries again.

Kederer helps him out by running over the gravel at the final corner.

This makes him vulnerable to van Renselaar.

Who completes the move to take 7th position.

3 laps to go and Edwards is now under pressure from Maverick.

Close racing for 8th place, even this late in the race.

You can hardly see Maverick behind Edwards!

Looks like Maverick has learnt from Greenhalgh where best to overtake.

A carbon-copy of his team mate's pass and Maverick is in 3rd place.

Last lap.

Matteo Scala wins the Canadian Grand Prix!

Greenhalgh 2nd.

Maverick 3rd.

Edwards in 4th.

Jalving 5th.

Congratulations to Matteo Scala and Scuderia Minardi, winners of the Canadian GP!

Stay tuned for the official results.

Quite quiet race from me so far. Maybe I can improve in the final part.
Lovely win for Scala, well done to him! Could be worse from myself, not good either though. Bet boss will be happy with that.
