GPGSL S8 Round 14 -Monaco Grand Prix - The RD's Short Straw >> SHOCKING NEWS AT PAGE 204!!! <<

Posted by GPGSL
Another "new" team leaves the scene after few season. That's sad and impossible to avoid. Good luck for the future Chris :-)

My GPGSL Career
Sad to see you go Chris, but real life is undoubtedly this league's greatest enemy. You offered me a seat twice, I sometimes think you hate me for declining both offers! But your team had its glorious races, and I must say, the livieries will always be remembered :-) hope you can stick with us as a tester or race driver.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
I echo the others; sorry to see you leave and all the best!

Quick notice: the wiki's fully up to date now. I'll try and keep it bubbling along as the season goes on.

EDIT: Go check it out, I've given the S8 page a little facelift.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words. Hopefully the Christel name will be able to return in the future. Who will be taking our spot I wonder?

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

Really sad to see Christel leaving the series. A big thanks to the entire team and Chris for giving me the opportunity they did as a tester for 2 seasons! Glad to hear you'll hopefully be sticking around Chris and of course good luck with the life stuff!

Jack Hunsley has already announced that he'll take the spot. Which'll surely lead to some interesting changes in the lineups! And I know a bit more than most of you already. Nananananana ;)

Finally. Now I can run the sessions. Wish me luck everyone. This is my first RD, so I hope I can put together a great coverage.

As for how I hope the test session goes for me, I just hope it won't be the same as what happened to me back at Boroma. And with Christel VXR withdrawing at end of season, I need to do the best I can possibly do for the remaining sessions to ensure I stay in the top 10 in the tester's championship.

LOVE the Imola circuit, hoping for a big result here as I love the track so much.

Sad to see Christel leave but exciting that it will well and truly throw the cat amongst the pigeons in terms of seats and drivers!
Tester's qualifying for the tester's feature race has been run, but somehow the screens I took all disappeared. I was using fraps, so I have no idea what could've happened. So what should I do? Re-run the qualifying session, or leave it as is and write the results in? (p.s, can I please get the log in details to the GPGTV account via pm. It's so I can upload the screens via that account.)

Check where FRAPS/you have told the screenshots are being saved too.... or if you have managed to delete them all, hmmm. Guess you re-run the session and manage to hold onto the shots this time....

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.

They should have went to the fraps screenshot folder. I really don't want to re-run the session, but if it must be done then I'll re-run the session.

Ya should have been testing all this sort of thing while you waited for the perfs to get posted! ;-) Nothing like a spanner in the works, causing a delay in posting pics/videos/results.... Not an easy job, is it!

Of course I have tested it all out. I'm just surprised the screens didn't show up. Anyways, session re-run has now finished, so I should have the coverage posted later tonight. And the results were the exact same as the first run. How often does that happen?

Greg, no need to rerun the session, just post the results and go straight to the race. Saves a whole lot of work ;) I will send you the login details.

It's all good.

GPGSL Rd12 San Marino GP - Tester's Qualifying

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Imola for Rd12 of the GPGSL: The San Marino GP. There is a new RD in the seat for this weekend, and he is hoping to do a good enough job. Let's get the weekend underway with tester's qualifying. This will determine who will get pole position for the tester's feature race, which we haven't seen since the Boromo weekend. According to the weather report, we are in for a dry qualifying session. Let's head down to the track.

The calm before the storm.

Out first is Glen Sheppard, followed by Rodrigo Vilela. Owners of Demon and One respectively.

Behind them is Dan Mills, TNR owner.

And here is me, oh wait a minute, how can I race and RD at the same time?

Daniel Thomas has been forced to return to AMR, therefore ending the swap deal between AMR and Christel.

This won't look good for Sheppard.

Indeed it doesn't. Sheppard spins into the sand trap. A disastrous start to his first flying lap.

At least he managed to get the car back onto the track.

Owen Edwards, who is doing double duty this weekend, is lucky not to have hit the Demon car. But this may have cost him time.

Vilela crosses the line first and takes provisional pole.

Mills quickly takes 1st away from Vilela.

MAC Racing owner, Nathan McGregor, takes 3rd.

While Shadow owner, Tom Pellatt, takes 4th.

De Bruyker takes 2nd place.

Daniel Thomas can only manage 6th in his AMR.

While his team boss, Stuart Ingers, takes 7th place.

VSM boss, Rico van Smirren, takes 8th place in his Mitsubishi powered VSM.

10th is the best Sheppard can do after running into the sand early on in his lap.

Yes! Now only if this time can stand.

Joshua Copeman takes 8th.

Former GPGSL champion, John Warrington, slots into 2nd.

While current tester's championship leader, Andrei Sevastian, slots into 3rd.

Monil Santilal goes into 5th place.

Jo-Anne Hayes takes 2nd. A very good result for the Snake tester.

Not so good for her teammate. Stoddart can only manage 12th.

The SCR of Eric Moinet takes 11th place.

While the 2nd SCR of de Boer takes 10th place.

Sebastien Nell in the 2nd Demon takes 3rd.

1st Runs Completed

Be right back after a short break.
