Just curious as a team owner, what are the chances of running a "one time only, special livery" late in the season?? Possibly to test run a Season 9 livery.... My current driver lineup is aware of potential sponsor/livery changes for Season 9, so debuting that livery in the final race of the year could be a perfect place to do so....
Or thinking even further into Season 9, perhaps a nominated, "special livery" event..??

Looking at the mod, it would be pretty easy to implement that for Season 9. Just a small edit of the race_config.ini and then creating the folders in the Cars folder for track specific liveries. Same goes for helmets.

I think maybe something unique like a "special livery" event at 1 or 2 races in a season, with races to be pre-determined, could be considered in the offseason. If it could be easily done within the mod, i think this would be pretty cool!! And to potentially throw a new livery onto a car for the final race of the season (or 2nd last??!!) would be a unique opportunity....

I won't be upset if this sort of idea is thrown out, as "too hard", just airing it as an option....

Well that would be giving things away, wouldn't it......
We at Demon have 2 liveries hiding in the shadows, ready to see the light of day, when/if our sponsors agree, and GPGSL approve....
AND, on top of those two, the design team at DMR are already feverishly working on the season 9 livery. Looking nice too, looking fast too!!

I was thinking of sending in special helmet designs for the Monaco round, at least that would make it visually interesting we can announce it now with plenty of time for the mod to be compiled with the one-off designs. Of course only those who want to have their lids changed would do it, nothing mandatory. Opinions?
