That start incident between Ruben and Michael cost me a place and a bunch of time...not a good start into this race.

GPGSL Rd12 San Marino GP - Race Day

Part 2

We are back from the break.

Hunsley, Gilson and Elleker holding down 2nd – 4th.

Jake Legge up to 18th, but he is under pressure from the ONE behind him.

Looks like Elleker is attempting a move on Gilson.

But Gilson shuts the door on that opportunity.

Elleker really close to the SCR.

The ONE of Van Renselaar sitting behind the MAC of Silvestre.

Horvath and Cartwright look set to do battle, as the SCR goes for a passing attempt.

But the pass doesn't work out as Cartwright stays behind the TNR.

Jalving is close to the Demon, perhaps too close.

As a result, Jalving runs wide, and is lucky not to hit the wall, or the other cars behind him.

Jalving recovers and keeps 6th, but has lost ground to the Demon.

Focus is on Warrington, but we see that Maverick is on the back of the TNR.

Greenhalgh still leading, and has increased his lead out to 9 seconds.

Jack Hunsley in 2nd place. He just doesn't have the pace to keep up with the AMR.

Somogyi still in 5th place.

Brunner heads out of the pits after taking his stop.

The first of the front runners to pit is Greenhalgh.

Jalving has caught up to the back of the Demon once again.

Hunsley leading.

Not again. Jalving on the back of the Demon.

There's a lockup from Jalving.

And it seems contact was made, as the MPR runs wide, while the Demon goes off the track.

Jalving has done it. He's finally gotten past the Demon.

Leaving Somogyi to fend off the TNR behind him.

Pit stop action, as Somogyi, Maverick, Pedersen, Cartwright, Silvestre and Van Renselaar all take to the pit lane for their stop.

Greidanus on the back of a Demon.

Greidanus still on the back of the Demon, as Gilson takes to the pit lane.

Elleker, Edwards and Steer take their stop as well.

Likewise Legge and Rodriguez.

Greidanus attempts a passing move on the Demon.

But couldn't make it and slots in behind.

And tries again to get pass.

With no success.

Van Renselaar in battle with Legge.

Brunner goes for a pass on the MAC.

But couldn't make it, and allows the Demon to get closer.

Placings on Lap 16.

Final break of the race, so stay where you are, less you want to miss the end.

yet another race to forget....
What a bad start, I couldnt get passed and then got stuck in traffic. I did have the pace, but is is very difficult here to overtake. Top speed isnt our strongest point, so I had to make a bold move to take Somogyi. Nearly lost a position, but finaly managed to overtake him. Now lets make up some time and positions!

Of course, GPGSL's race stewards will be handing down a penalty to Mr Jalving, for causing an incident, and gaining a place from it..... lol
Looks like the two Demon machines are lacking a bit of grunt, with others all over them....

atleast to this very moment the Grand Prix of San Marino is a bit, well, unlucky for us Demons ^^

Part 3

Welcome back once again.

Greidanus once again on the back of the Demon.

Greenhalgh catching onto the back of Jalving.

Meanwhile, Hunsley is in pit lane ready to take his stop.

Which gives the lead to his teammate, and 2nd to Greenhalgh.

The Shadow and Demon are still at it. Greidanus tries once again to pass Somogyi.

And again fails to get pass.

It's on again.

This could end in tears for one of these drivers.

Thankfully, they are able to continue on.

Back to the front, as Greenhalgh retakes the lead.

As Jalving makes his stop.

Joseph Gilson takes 2nd place, but is 13 seconds behind Greenhalgh.

Hunsley moves up to 3rd.

As Jalving exits the pits in 4th.

Jake Legge fancies his chances on attempting a pass on the Snake of Brunner.

But couldn't make the pass, so drops in behind.

The view from behind Brunner's Snake.

It's on again.

The back of the pack.

ONE Racing will be wanting to forget about this weekend altogether.

Placings on Lap 20.

Onboard with Somogyi, and there is no sign of the top 4.

Elleker behind Maverick.

Steer having to hold off the Scuderia Minardi behind him.

Here is Matteo Scala, who is currently behind the Snake of Connor Steer.

Back to the front, and it seems that Jalving is starting to catch his team mate.

Scala right on the bumper of Steer.

This will be a interesting battle between the two.

They touch.

One of them locks up.

And somehow manage to continue on in their current positions.

Pedersen in 20th, holding off Kederer.

Greenhalgh is unstoppable in this race. His lead is now 16 seconds.

Seriously, again?

Just how close Greidanus is to Somogyi.

Kederer is on the back of Pedersen.

Into the hairpin, and Pedersen looks to have missed the apex.

And runs wide as a result, allowing Kederer through.

Pedersen will be wanting to put this race behind him.

Owen Edwards now on the back of Greidanus.

Placings on Lap 24.

Jalving really close to the back of Hunsley.

Somogyi will be relieved to not have to defend from the Shadow behind.

Not so for Greidanus, as he has to defend from the TNR behind.

Jalving on the back of Hunsley.

There's contact between the team mates.

And are lucky to continue. Dan Paddock will be shaking after almost seeing his drivers take each other out.

Down to the last 2 laps.

Gilson in 2nd, 17 seconds behind.

The back of the field.

Van Renselaar down in 18th. Looks like his run of good results has come to a end.

Edwards attempts a pass on Greidanus.

Jack Hunsley is now 4th. Seems Jalving was able to get pass into the final podium spot.

No one has been able to challenge Greenhalgh ever since he took the lead on Lap 1.

He enters the final corners.

And wins the San Marino GP. A dominate performance from the reigning champion.

Joseph Gilson finishes 2nd.

And Charrel Jalving rounds out the podium in 3rd.

Congratulations to Ed Greenhalgh and AMR, winners of the San Marino GP.

Mixed feeling about this race! First of all I want to say many many thanks to Hunsley for giving up his podium to me. We had a short discussion over the teamradio and even on track, but to keep my title chances alive I need all the points I can get.

Hunsley started from pole, but Greenhalgh was unstopable, this dropped Hunsley back to 3rd. It would have been a podium for him if he didnt let me trough.

For me, I had a poor start and dropped back a few places. I had the pace to fight for P1, but I was to far back. I managed to overtake Somogyi (Sorry to Somogyi and Demon for the bold move) while also saving my tyres. A late pitstop got me into 4th place behind Hunsley. He knew I had fresh tyres and was faster at this part of the race, so he let me trough. Great to be on the podium here, good that I scored some nice points again for the championship. Also a 3 - 4 finish for MPR is very good!

A bit of a quiet one for me, but I'll take it.
I should have stayed in bed...I had very little pace all the way through the weekend.

atleast one of us Demons scores good points. Congrats, Zsigmond.
That was disappointing...
Challenging for the podium and then I don't even know what happened

+1 = 3. The first stint wasn't bad, we made up some places, but after our stop we just fell back to where we started and weren't able to do anything. Too bad about the boost, we'll see what Monza brings us.

Didn't see you run wide or off the track, so I would assume you lost out during the pit stops.

Congratulations to Ed for the win! He was unbeatable today and got the important points for AMR. I struggled hard. First that incident threw me back and then I ruined my tyres in the try to overtake. The pace wasn't bad, but overtaking simply didn't work out well today. So I eventually ended where I started. P8 is not a real disaster, but surely not where you want to end when you're leading the championship. At least Stefan and Owen couldn't score well either. Charrel might be back in the fight with his 3rd and Ed surely has shown that you should NEVER write him off! I get the feeling that'll be a hard ride to the end!

Guess so, bit annoying

14th for me. 10th for Chris. At least some improvement after the qualify...
