Vettel DID lose the race himself. He broke the rules (as obscure as they might have been - i wonder if all the drivers knew that rule???) and cost himself the win. The strategy was going to play into his hands, and he would have comfortably won the race. But, he stuffed up, and yes, RBR probably should have told him what had happened (perhaps they did, and we didn't hear it?). Vettel simply lost the race by his own lack of awareness, both of the rules, and the current state of the race. Its that simple.
I personally don't like Vettel, as he comes across as a spoilt little brat. Yes, he is a good driver, yes he will win lots of races, and I will admire him for that. However I don't feel the need to hide any joy in seeing Vettel sook it up on the podium, and portray himself as a childish sore loser. Sometimes you just have to suck it up, and accept the consequences. And yes, I am fully aware that can be quite hard to do just minutes after completing an F1 race, or any competitive sport one may have just partipated in. All I am saying, is that Seb did not portray himself in a very good way....
But seriously DaveEllis, I think you are taking this all way too seriously....
