2010 Car Launch thread

oh i get it now. they need to lose the red. is the black black or dark blue?

it's quite nice. clean design. looks like a fairly complex front wing. should look nice with some sponsors on it

Interestingly there aren't even technical partner logos on the car, not even Bridgestone which is on all the cars by default. This might well be just a new car design launch.

Probably they had a good reason to keep this name. If they change it they wouldn't get the FIA money after last year's results, IMO.

The BMW's livery was quite nice, so I'm happy they kept it. Probably they will add the sponsor stickers later.

I think it's a fair comparison ... it doesn't take much effort, time or money to come up with a proper team name and a proper livery.

it doesn't but it would be a total waste of time if you know you're going to have to change it anyway on the arrival of a main sponsor.

Ok, the livery is a matter of taste (even though Brawn had an equally blank car) but what's so wrong with the name?

Livery is certainly going to change, Sauber announced a sponsor yesterday and it isn't there, no technical partners either so it will be different come Bahrain.

I don't think they can change the name, or something like that.

If they change the name, they lose all of the TV money from last year unless the teams unanimously agree on the matter. Thats why there was no problem going from Manor GP to Virgin, because there was no previous year's money involved.
