Looks different to me... different enough to be a new car. Just looks an evolution on last years.

Btw, yet again a team covering the rear but you very clearly see this is one MONSTER diffuser and most likley what we will see from Mclaren and Merc ...

Yet again, cant say enough how much I love that Sauber!!!!

edit - it seems its not just us who's confused about the Renault. Its different to the R29. but not much different. And why would they release studio images of just a new livery, its not like they have many sponsors to please.... :s

3 is allowed since last year, but you cant go beyond the plane of the wing itself, eg, you cant have a 3rd element going across the front of the main rear wing like a few years back

2nd post down about the wing..

Are you 100% sure more than 2 planes are legal as full width?

With the narrowing of the rearwing, teams naturally made the rear wings alot deeper. Why, if they were allowed 3 plans did people only use 2? Sauber tested last year with 3 or 4 wing planes in pre-season didnt they?

Depending on the rear, perhaps 2 worked better for some teams than 3, who knows really.

Extreme closeup of the FW32 nose, looks like another RBR job.

Unless the layout of the cars has changed since i last checked, the tank is between the engine and the cockpit. Still, it's an awesome exercise in packaging :)

I can see what you mean about the fuel tank size, when I 1st saw the Sauber I though that is far to short compared to the Mclaren and Ferrari. But maybe in the past Renault and BWM made the car longer than the rest and thats why they now look shorter?

I always find it difficult to compare simply from pictures. As far as I know we are yet to get direct dimensions from either the Mclaren or Ferrari, however we do have for the R30 and C29.

C29 - overal length is 4,940mm, a 250mm increase from last year.

The R30 is 5050mm compared to 4800mm of last year so another 250mm longer.

Using pictures to compare is impossible because of camera jibberish I dont know about such as lenses etc :p!

So far the Williams, Renault and Sauber have all shown little sponsorship on their cars, and they look so good. If only all teams could be low on sponsorship :p

edit - [www.f1technical.net]

After seeing that i just cant help but be reminded of the old Porsche 962 and other group c cars where the rear wing's job was to extract the underbody flow.

Well we know the Mclaren is longer than last year as it would not fit in the lift.

On an extremely shallow point here, could Kubica and Petrov possibly be the ugliest partnership in F1?

Well, the Renault looks like a bee! At least we'll see the first ever totally Eastern-European line-up of F1!

It might be me, but all the cars look alike this year. I like their triangle airintake and sharkfin.
