Is this the same Lotus team who told us in mid-season that they "have a proud history of signing top-line drivers and will be looking to continue that heritage" ?

Alex Yoong?? FFS.

Villeneuve ruled out of the Lotus seat. Trulli is the top man out of a shortlist of 4 drivers.

Trulli seems like a fairly certain bet to end up at Lotus, but if I were Peter Sauber I would also make a run for him (unless Heidfeld stays with them)

Trulli is sure to be signed as the lead Lotus driver then. He's a good enough and experienced enough driver to be an extremely attractive option for any new team. Shame Jaques isn't being considered though.

Regarding the MS-Mercedes rumours, unless a move to Merc for him means he'll be driving, then I don't care what team he's with TBH.

Yes, I know many don't think so, but from the current crop, Di Grassi seems to me the better one from the brazillian pilots. I hope he does well in F1.

Rodrigo, you read Grande Prêmio as well? :)

... and Sato misses out

Trulli and Kovalainen will be quite a good line-up for a new team - solid, if often unspectacular, and with lots of experience that will help develop the team and move it forward.

Kovy is just another driver that Trulli will piss all over in qualifying, yet only level peg at best in the races.

At McLaren it seemed that Kovalainen was a bit like Trulli, a lot better at qualifying than the races relative to Hamilton.
