Yep, it reminds me of how the newly-resurfaced Interlagos looked in 2007.

Yes, and also Magny-Cours from a couple of years ago as well

He missed the apex on 4 corners! :P
I quite like the look of the new surface TBH. I'm just glad they've done nothing more to bugger up the layout. :D

Only saw this now...the track record is actually the fastest lap of the race, so pole does not count. Kimi did the record on lap 44 on the 2005 GP. The fastest lap on 2006 was 1:32.6 by Alonso. The v10 make too much of a difference I think at Suzuka. I expect the laptimes during the race to be around 1:34-35.

...kinda sums the guy up - misses four apexes, and still destroys the rest of them. He's like the Gregor Huttu of real-life racing ;)

The circuit formed by God!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah V10 sound ... I like it!

According to the FIA Preview of the event, the pit exit has also been moved:

CHANGES TO THE CIRCUIT SINCE 2006

• The pit exit has been realigned to join the track after the first corner.

• Asphalt has been laid in parts of the run-off area around the outside of turns 1 and 2.

• The track has been resurfaced between turns 17 and 7.

• The barrier on the driver’s right before turn 1 has been moved further from the track.

• The barrier on the driver’s right between turns 6 and 7 has been moved some six metres further from the track.

• The tyre barrier around the outside of turn 1 has had an additional conveyor belt inserted behind the first two rows.

why do they have to extend that?. In that case , if you're going out to the pits, its hard to defend your position on the first corner out their, after exiting the pitlane cuz you're beginning to get some speed, and you can't defend your line until the first corner. While the guy coming from full straight line from the track running 350kph can just out-brake you their easily.

Jon Noble is Tweeting about a rumoured 'shock in the driver market' this weekend. In fairness, i've not seen him be wrong too many times thus far.

Hakkinen back at McLaren then?

Moss to Williams!
Nickv to McLaren!
Kubica to Renault, Nickv to be new tea boy at McLaren!
I just read the thing on F1-live that BMW engines fell off a truck going to the track. They do not think they are damaged but they are not sure yet.

Also Vettel did not speed at the last race in the pits. I am shocked that they do not use a camera or speed gun to check the speed. They time how long it takes to cross from one line to the next, vettel cut the corner more than other drivers so they worked out he was speeding.
this already happened before in BMW as well, an engine fell while they where loading it to a truck, they had to change it
how unlucky

and O: at Vettel

I'm pretty sure that is an error (from Singapore?)

I've seen a few phots, none of the track or aerial shot, bu they all suggest to me that the pitlane exits back onto the main straight.
