Bruno, I'll break from the norm and not say you're a complete tw*t who's so biased he can't see past his own cock.

1) Piquet crashed at Singapore cos he f**ked it up. No driver that weekend crashed at the same spot, support race or main feature. Correct me please if I'm wrong, otherwise I'll continue to laugh at your growing ineptitude to see the truth as it's laid out by others.

2) Massa has earned the respect of the paddock for taking the fight to Hamilton this season. Piquet will have to earn respect in more than the same way his father did, and hopefully Alonso will cream him this season and put him out of a drive before the year's out.

3) Singapore is NOT an unsafe circuit; by that definition Valencia and certainly Monaco would be considered unsafe. So they have a few bumps: BIG F**KING DEAL! F1 cars have to be able to go over all kinds of circuits, not super-smooth jobbies that Magny-Cours has started the trend of producing. Bahrain is a cracking circuit to watch, it produces overtaking (2004 or 2005 race had a fair amount from a certain Pedro de la Rosa), Barcelona may be very good fun to drive but hasn't produced a good race in the past few years, and only does when rain's involved (1991, 1996); otherwise it's mostly a procession.

I'm not biased, but you're a right pisshead some days, and you've just backed that statement up with this thread which you've degenerated into a back and forth which you're losing quite badly between you and the rest of the members here; you incurred the wrath of DaveEllis and gav on more than one occasion and both should have put you to bed and stuck a dummy in your mouth to stop your incessent whining.

BACK ON ORIGINAL TOPIC

A street race round Rome could be an interesting one; I quite liked the course in Gran Turismo 2. Although it'd have to complement the calendar, not replace the current Italian GP.

Ok, let's not lose focus here...Kimi is a world champion, Massa is not ;)

1) He crashed because the track is unsafe, full of bumps and because he was a rookie in his first full F1 year.

2) respect? where... I can only see people talking about Lewis, Alonso, Kimi. No one apart of his fanboys here are talking about him. You will regret saying this when you see that hes back to his Driver #2 role supporting Kimi after a "1999 Eddie Irvine style year".

3) Singapore and Valencia are much more unsafe than Monaco, Singapore T10 and pitlane entry/exit for an example. Bahrain is crap and so is Valencia.

Just to help you going back on topic. I have never seen the rome layout, but no other italian track is better than Monza; therefore I would say NO to a race at Rome, even if it was sort of a European GP rotation, we dont need new tracks, we need to see the classic old tracks revamped and back to its former glory.

Perfectly and well pointed out. Everyone (HAM, ALO, RAI) who is in contention for the 2009 title is a World Champion; he is not. ;)

@Joe Satch:

I was being every so slightly sarcastic when I wrote that post. ;-)

@Bruninho

You seem to know for certain that Hamilton, Alonso and Raikkonen are in contention for the championship already. That's quite a crystal ball you have there.

To go back on 1) Interlagos has many many bumps, and is famed for them, and yet I don't see him crashing (much), for a change, do you? Poor excuse.

On 2) Irvine jumped ship after an almost year in which he had the best shot at a title because his team leader was out injured for so long; he had support in Mika Salo, Schumacher helped him when he came back to racing, and Hakkinen was just too strong for him. If Irvine had taken the title that year, I reckon Hakkinen would have been robbed; he had the faster car and was more consistent. Similarly, if Massa had taken the title this year, I reckon Hamilton would have been robbed, since Massa had problems with reliability this year.

I dont care about Interlagos. In fact I dont like Interlagos; I prefer a race in a revamped Jacarepagua Circuit than Interlagos crappy track.

Thing is. Lewis Hamilton is the 2008 World Champion. Your favorite Ferrari #2 is not.

The F1 hierarchy and title contenders havent changed in years, so why should it change this year?

EDIT: BTW, Interlagos "infamous bumps" are gone since 2006. The tarmac was reworked in that year for that race.

He was never in contention, we all knew that Hamilton would win it after Kimi's failure.

No. They were reduced. Not gone.

Did you watch the race? He was within 1 lap of winning it. That is contention.

Good question, maybe you should ask DaveEllis since it was him who started all this fuzz.

If there was a need for another venue in F1, it should be the return of Imola not another street track. The new run from Rivazza to Tamburello seems to be fun, without the final chicane. If tamburello was still a fast left corner, it would be an enjoyable run from Rivazza to Tosa.

Massa was not in contention? Why did Hamilton bother to even turn up in Brazil so?

Champion?

So is Jacques and oh look at Gilles. is he better than him then?

This driver A is champ driver B not is so weak.

Anyways, Interlagos has been fixed and all the drivers noticed that, if someone crashed is because it's own errors, or induced by incident involving multiple cars. Period.

Glock was slow, so the title was decided when Toyota decided not to pit for new tyres again. At that point, Hammy was racing Glock not Vettel.

Indeed it was decided by that. And the fact it was decided by that means that Massa was still in contention for the championship. Thanks for the clarification there champ.

The title was decided? But I thought that Massa wasn't even in contention? According to you Hamilton already had the title won and was only in Brazil as a formality.

But that was a formality. HE just had to finish fifth and so he did. He was never close to lose it, Hammy had everything under control.

And btw, who the f%$k cares? Lewis is the champion. Ferrari #2 is not. Who the f%$k cares if someone was close to winning it? Oh lets praise Robert Kubica for being so close to a title battle... (sarcasm being put here).

At the end of the day, he will not be in contention for the 2009 and future titles. Never. Hes just a v2.0 of the previous brazilian who "raced" at Ferrari playing team orders and lying that he was happy to play #2. Just like his actual successor is doing.
